シーミル ハイドロ ホテル & リゾート(Seamill Hydro Hotel)

Our night at the Seamill Hydro was absolutely lovely. Stayed in a deluxe Seaview room and the views were stunning despite the weather. Loved enjoying a quiet drink in our room while doing some seal-spotting. The meal in The Orangery was a really highlight and the staff could not have been more attentive. Food was delicious! The only thing have to mark down for is the pool/leisure facilities. The pool is cold and the "jacuzzi" part is no warmer so you are basically just sitting in bubbly jets of cold water! Not ideal and a real shame as the rest of the hotel is perfect. I would definitely revisit if they turn the temperature up in the pool. Lovely hotel

It was ok but the beds are terrible and never sleep due to other guests that were banging doors and shouting at 1.30am never go back there

This hotel is in a lovely position sitting on the beach. The courtyard Arran view room had a good sized space and bathroom with a great view however the furniture looked pretty dated which let the room down. Overall this is a nice hotel but unfortunately the staff a part from a couple really let this hotel down their level of bothered ness is zero and on the whole are pretty rude! To be fair to them it looked as though at times they were pretty short staffed and unfortunately this showed in their whole work ethic. Considering when you walk into the hotel the reception staff are the first you meet and they could do with a brush up on customer service to say the least!

The service in the dining room was not good as we had to wait an hour after our dessert until getting a coffee. The breakfast staff were very good.

The staff who checked my partner and I in called Anne was fantastic, a local lady who was full of character, she certainly made a great impression for arriving to the hotel. Unfortunately this couldn’t be said about the staff within the restaurant located across from reception. My partner and I went to check out the food menu only to over hear a conversation between a member of staff and the customer. Customer asked “Lindsey” if they could enter to have some food and drink, she replied if they have booked a table, which they did not. Unfortunately Lindsey followed up with some unprofessional behaviour and attitude. My partner and I booked a table for 2000 to which we arrived for 1955 only to be left standing for over 10 full minutes, during these 10 minutes we got approached once from a member of staff asking to be patient and we will be seen. My partner and I waited that long, the restraints own customers even came up to us to inform us that: 1) they didn’t get seated after 10 minutes therefore they just took their own seats. 2) recommended not to order any food because they were dissapointed 3) if we want a drink then to go to the bar because they waited over 20 minutes for two drinks. I feel that being informed this by other customers is a shambles and not up to standards of the Seamill Hydro. My partner and I were eventually seated, and after 1 hour of waiting for a food menu, we decided to leave and get a takeaway from town.

Booked a courtyard room (Bute 107) for 3 nights and it didn't disappoint! Styled almost like a suite, with a bed settee set in it's own "room" in front of the TV with coffee table and separated by a curtain if used as a room. Spacious bathroom in the middle with large walk in shower (lovely and hot with great pressure!). Then on to the well laid out bedroom. Plenty of wardrobe space (both here and lounge area) but could do with more drawer space. All areas were immaculately clean with nothing broken or hanging off. The bar area is very good and your hot breakfast is served here. You can actually specify exactly what you want to eat which is a boon. We also ate our first night meal here which was really good and great service. However, I booked the Orangery for Sunday night as this was my partners birthday. Whilst the food was ok the service was poor. Not just for us but for couples either side of us also. The couple to our left arrived 20mins after us but got their starter at the same time as ours but their mains 20mins before us! But they didn't get the wine they ordered! We were warned our plates were hot - which they always were - but our meals were just warm. I booked in advance of our trip as I was told it was really busy but it still seemed to be a surprise to the staff. Whilst a disappointment it would not put us off going back. We would probably just eat in the bar or dine out.

The hotel is of a good standard for the area, but has been better, the staff are friendly, hotel facilities are good, it’s clean and well maintained. However, the cost is top end and we’ve been going a few years now because we’ve family in the area, but we were incorrectly booked into the wrong room, although ******* were blamed, one room for 2 adults and 2 children for £175/night bnb.. really? They did move our room for the second night to a Kilbride, which has 2 separate rooms.. like we’d booked. Breakfast used to be top quality, now’s seem to be cutting corners, coffee machine rather than waitress asking if you’d like a pot of tea or coffee. The quality of meat for sausage and bacon not what it was. I used to feel that I’d got good value, now think I might try a change. The kids do like the pool, which is main attraction for them. In all, I’d recommend but it has been better.

Respectable, beds a little hard and breakfast OK but overall no real issues. We love the Hydro, this is our 5th stay and we will be back. The surroundings and the views are amazing and that makes up for a lot.

We had a relaxing couple of nights at Seamill Hydro - used the pool , sauna etc. Dinner in the main restaurant was particularly good.
