Spent a couple months in Missoula for work and could not recommend this hotel more. From the general manager Ashley to the front desk staff, everyone was extremely friendly and attentive. The hotel itself is wonderful. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. I’d also like to give a tip of the cap to Gwen the bartender. When you are away from home for so long, it was nice to unwind with a beverage in the evening. Gwen became a familiar face and did an outstanding job of not only being a good bartender but being a pretty cool all around person to talk to. If you are looking for a hotel in Missoula, you can’t go wrong with the Residence Inn.
CCompanion815594Stay away from this hotel. Wish I had an option to give negative reviews to this hotel and its management. I arrived at this hotel around 1AM on 07/26/24 for a night on my way to visit Glacier National Park and was left stranded the whole night as they were unable to check me in, citing power outage and inability to access their systems. I could see the hotel had partial power and the lobby had lights and even people were checking out early in the morning but despite all this they denied checking me in. I tried frantically calling hotels around and was unable to find one at the dead of the night and having no place to go I was left stranded in the hotel lobby. I felt unsafe in a completely new city and since I had no vehicle, I had no option but to stay in the hotel lobby through the night. In addition to that, upon confronting them, as to why they didn't deem it important to inform me about this before hand, they were clueless. Instead they asked me to sign on a paper with my details so they could verify my reservation and cancel charges if any, when they have their systems back. This behavior could not have been be more pathetic and unprofessional. To my utter astonishment my card was never charged even when I hadn't checked in. As if this was not enough, they scammed me by reserving me a third party airport pickup without mentioning anywhere that it was a paid service. I had called the hotel 1 day prior to my checkin and had requested for an airport courtesy shuttle that was mentioned in their website and was given a number to contact and reserve a shuttle .I was picked up by a shuttle and when I reached the hotel the shuttle driver charged me $35 saying they were a private company and not part of the hotel. I was never informed about this. I would have preferred Uber since the hotel was just 2 miles away from the airport and it would have hardly cost me $10 for the trip. Few things about the hotel checkin issue that raised my suspicion that they were oversold and the issue they mentioned about system was just an excuse. - By default when you have a confirmed reservation and you don't checkin you would get a charge on your card, but I was never charged for this booking. - Hotels around that place were all booked for that night. - They never reached out to me to inform they had an outage so I could have planned accordingly. The reason for power outage was a storm the previous day which means they had plenty of time to reach out to me. - This hotel had a lot of people and power was not completely out. They could have verified my reservation by calling their customer care or their other franchises , few blocks away, that didn't have any power issue. The sad part is, even after raising this issue multiple times to both hotel management and IHG customer care, nobody has reached out yet.
A clean and modern hotel. It had everything we needed. The room was very large. We loved that it offers solid (not carpeted) floors. The staff was friendly. Walking distance to several fun downtown spots. Parking is only available via valet or on the street. Street parking is free between 5pm-8am.
FFanThe location is great. Close enough to the highway but far enough to hear any traffic noise. Close to several fancy restaurants.
Room is clean and neat. Bed is cozy and comfortable. Agents are very warm and friendly. Very positive experience.
While we have stayed at this property years ago under a different chains brand, it retains many of the features of its former brand. It says Comfort Inn on the signage but internally it doesn’t have the same general feel as most of the brand we’ve stayed at (100s of different locations over the years) While the furniture and interiors feel like its former brand, beds and bedding, bathroom soap/shampoos are all standard Comfort in fare…. Think going into a nicer chain sit down restaurant, that used to be a high end steakhouse but seeing them serve or package things like a fast food place. It feels a bit off to me. That all being said the facility is nice, clean and comfortable and staff were very welcoming and friendly. Nice walk in shower, room layout nice (but not typical Comfort Inn style/layout) Breakfast needs improvements. Breakfast area is small very limited seating and the food….well let’s just say we ate breakfast elsewhere after trying it. While the potatoes were ‘warm’ and real potatoes they tasted rewarmed and almost mushy for the wedge style they were, eggs tasted like bad powdered eggs, they had sausages links as well which were just ok. Also have some microwaveable breakfast options and the standard dry fare. I feel this property should have gone with a different Choice branding, as it does seem based on many reviews it gets confused with the other Comfort on the other side of town. A solid stay, no issues, though we will try other places in town next time, for perspective.
GGail EThe front desk person was extremely helpful and we scored the last available room at this hotel. There are lots of dining options in the area close by and it is easy access to I-90. It's a basic hotel but extremely clean. Breakfast was included and it's your typical hotel breakfast with microwaveable burrito or egg option.
Jjcp01You get a clean comfortable basic room here. There is no fridge or microwave in your room. There is a microwave in the lobby and coffee and hot water are available in the morning. I was in a room near the ice maker and elevator and it was somewhat noisy. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The staff at the front desk were friendly and provided info on weekend events and places to eat. The location is great. It is easy off and on from the interstate and several restaurants and gas stations are close by. There is also a walking trail nearby so that you can get in a little exercise after sitting for hours in a car. All in all, I was satisfied with my stay here but it is definitely a no frills option.
Was supposed to be going to Yellowstone but that week was when the massive flooding occurred and Yellowstone was closed. Had to change plans last minute. Decided to explore other parts of Montana instead and booked a room for one night in Missoula. Pleasant surprise. Missoula was pretty and the people I met were really friendly. I could have sworn I booked a room with a whirlpool tub. I had a suite but just a regular tub. Overall that wasn't a big deal as I didn't get to the hotel until 8PM and still needed to find somewhere to eat. No time for a bath. The shower head was aimed weird, but had great flow. The toilet was higher than normal which was nice since I was achy from hiking. The tub edge was a bit lower. Also nice. Everything was clean. My room was on the second floor. No elevator. Hotel seems solidly built meaning the floor felt really solid with no creaking so I didn't think I was being a stompy elephant to the people below me. The tv was huge. Large fridge with a freezer. The microwave worked. Very comfy bed and pillows. Slept well. This place was QUIET. I heard absolutely no one all night other than some doors slam. Good location right off the freeway. There were places nearby to eat and other shopping. The main reason I chose this hotel was because it is pet free! Yay! No wet dog smell! No incessant barking at all hours! Definitely would stay here again and I wished I had spent more than one night in Missoula.
DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!! THEY WILL WRONGFULLY CHARGE YOU AFTER CHECKOUT!! My partner and I stayed here for one night. Neither of us are cigarette smokers, we both suffer from asthma. Nor did we associate with anyone who smoked cigarettes during the night we stayed here. Hours after checkout, we were charged $200. I called to ask what the charge was for and was told “cigarette remnants were found” in the room, and to call back Monday when the manager was available. This is a lie and now it is just our word against theirs. I suspect the housekeepers were angry that we asked for a late checkout. As they knocked on our door asking when we were leaving (even though we arranged a late checkout with the front desk and had the “do not disturb” sign posted). Please save yourself valuable money and time and DO NOT STAY HERE!
