We enjoyed the ambience which was awesome. And warm hospitality by the staff is greatly appreciated. Food was delicious. Staff was friendly. Though it is safari camp included every basic needs, which made the journey comfortable. Safari was facilitated by the staff. Highly recommended.

What a superb experience that evening and night. I was welcomed and treated like a princess. The tents are very well appointed with their own bathroom. Dinner, which was delicious, was served by candlelight with a lovely wood fire at the start. Thank you to the entire Salomon team: Lakmal, Makita and all the others, who take great care of me

Great experience over all. Food - except barbecue dinner which was ok, food was great both breakfest and lunch were tasty and plentiful Tent - clean, sturdy - no issues here Safari & guide - while safari tend to be about luck we had some share, circa 20 elephants, 2 crocodilles, birds, buffallos and a lizzard of sorts, both driver and guide were professionals with good english My only issue is: while camp is inside (or next to) Udawalawe, entrance is about 20 min drive, that would be ok, but nobody told us about it, so we did not get our windbreakers (suffering from cold due to bad AC) and on top of that car it got chilly pretty fast (0530AM€, so beware

Great camp with friendly staff and great food. The tents are nice with good beds and with a good shower. Diner (BBQ) in the open air with a campfire was very tasteful. The afternoon Safari we had with Salomons was a good experience. We saw loads of birds with a good explanation and we saw a lot of elephants. He took te time and we had great viewings. Although it was scorching hot. The evening it cooled down and it was enjoyable in the tent.

We are a Belgian family (father and 2 adult children) travelling through Sri Lanka in summer 2023. We stayed at Big Game Udawalawe camp site to organize a safari to Udawalawe National Park. At the tent camp we were given an upgrade to a bigger tent which was much appreciated. The camp site is next to the park but separated by an electric fence and is located next to a rock from where sunset can be observed (including many Malabar pied hornbills). The staff, food and tents are excellent. We had several walks around the camp site together with Mr Solomon, the site senior naturalist who is very experienced in Sri Lankan birds. Mr. Solomon also guided our morning safari to Udawalawe Park which was excellent, and which convinced us to do a safari to Yala park as well. Except of the (fantastic) observation of a leopard, this Yala park did not add too much to Udawalawe. We were very happy with all services offered by Big Game Udawalawe camp.

Lovely and quiet location close to national park. Tents are simple but comfortable and have own shower and toilet. Staff were very attentive and food very tasty. A special treat is the candlelit dinner. Be sure to do a safari nearby. Many elephants, birds and even a crocodile or two.

Wonderful place! The camp was delightful and the tents fun and comfortable. The safari that was included with our package was amazing, mostly due to Solomons, the tour guide and naturalist. His love for and knowledge about the wildlife, particularly birds, really made the experience special. He had an uncanny ability to spot even the smallest bird and could tell us all about it. He continued to point out birds when we were back at the camp as well. We had a fantastic experience all around

Wow! Amazing place with great accommodation, very romantic dinner and very friendfull service. We can see here breathtaking views, uncontaminated nature and many birds. It is the best place to go to safari.

what an amazing stay and experience this was!!. Soloman and everyone who helped made our time here, a trip never to forget. Extremely helpful.. Soloman takes pride in his job and it showed. very knowledgeable and helpful man. we saw many elephants as well as baby elephant we were extremely grateful. So many birds aswell. We recommend going in the morning I the weather is good. amazing sun rise 🙏🏾

The safari was an incredible experience! Solomon, our host was unbelievably knowledgeable on all of the wildlife we saw, especially the birds! It was a perfect morning. I had a smile on my face the whole time. We also loved staying at the campsite where we were treated exceedingly well. The food was delicious and the hospitality from the wonderful team was very impressive! I recommend this experience to anyone, you won’t be disappointed 😊

Highly recommend this experience! Soloman was an excellent host and everything was taken care of. The campsite was clean, the tent was exceptional (included a full three piece washroom). The safari was a one in a lifetime experience. Soloman was an excellent guide and his knowledge of the land and animals made the experience so much better. Highly recommend big game!

WOW. This was an amazing experience we will never forget. Came here as a group of 8 people and stayed one night. The tents were super clean and nice. In the evening we had a candle light dinner UNDER THE STARS with a bonfire 😍 the dinner was so good. But the TOP of our experience was Prince Salomon (should be named king). He taught us so much about the nature and animals and took us for a beautiful nature walk in the morning. Would recommend for everyone!
