イル ポルティッチョロ(Il Porticciolo)

Great location in Laveno. Our room faced the water and made for great sunsets. Nice bed and bathroom. The staff was pleasant. Parking was easy and we were only a few minutes from town and the ferry. The on-site restaurant is excellent. Breakfast, for a fee, was worth it.

Such a beautiful overnight stay, only wish we could have spent longer! The owners and staff are so friendly and accommodating and gracious. We have been traveling in Italy and have been to Tuscany, Florence, Rome, Naples, Sorrento and I am telling you this was the best meal of the trip. The chef is the son of the owner and if I was giving out Michelin stars he would get 5!! Just the freshest most delicious food cooked and seasoned to perfection. The gnocchi with shrimp was divine. Really everything about this sweet little lakeside hotel is pretty perfect and great value as well. Highly recommend.

This is a wonderful property with kind and very special owners. The food and service was so amazing. When I asked for a taxi to the train station - there were none available so they have a ride to the station! Above and beyond!

Beautiful view, clean rooms, the owners live in the hotel, which helps the hotels to be at a good level. Excellent restaurants, one of which has a Michelin star, also the chef of this restaurant has a pizzeria in the city center, I recommend

Sometimes you really need a break from ordinary life, just to forget worries and relax..the Porticciolo Hotel is the perfect place to do it!! We arrived after a long road trip and we were warmly welcomed, we immediately felt at home. Our room was large, bright and clean, but above all with a wonderful lake view. We saw such a romantic sunset from here...unforgettable!! Most of all we fell in love with the spa area. Here you can find the indoor pool with counter-current swimming and hydromassage, the sauna, turkish bath and emotional showers. The spa is on the upper floor of the hotel, from here the view of the lake was even more beautiful. Inside the hotel you can find two restaurants, La Tavola the gourmet restaurant with one Michelin star and the Osteria. They were both delicious..it's hard to choose between them. We spent some amazing days chilling in a peaceful hotel...thanks Il Porticciolo Hotel!!

We booked a lot of time in advance two suits for two couples. Upon arrival. Since no restaurant on site was available, we asked for glasses and some cutlery in order to have a snack and some wine on the terrace. Service was reluctant. Location very nice and we booked best suits. After dinner on the terrace we went into other suite. There was an unbearable stench in the room. No aircon , nor any ventilation. No solution for stench was offered. Besides that , room lighting was not working partially. Water temperature in shower could not be maintained, it was either freezing or boiling no matter what you did. Room was insect infested no nets. Our demand to leave the next morning on the account of inadequate room was met first with total refusal, then with demand for one additional night paid as fine for leaving sooner even though the room given was totally unacceptable. We eventually paid for a night we did not spend there just to be rid of this hotel and of the horribly un service oriented couple who run it. Truly bad experience. Beware!

Amazing location ! It’s a bit hard to find but well worth the effort. A must treat is the foccocia by the beach right below the hotel

Un hotel di charme con una vista incantevole sul lago maggiore. Stanza pulitissima, personale cortese, servizio impeccabile. Non perdetevi la cena al bistrot, davvero buona e molto curata. Il soggiorno merita davvero il costo della camera e della cena. Un’esperienza da non perdere!

Nonostante il soggiorno molto breve abbiamo potuto apprezzare la comodità di una camera moderna in un contesto davvero unico sul lago Maggiore. L’ esperienza della cucina è stata altrettanto appagante. Alla prossima occasione sarà sicuramente il nostro riferimento! Lo consigliamo vivamente!!
