The lobby was very clean, as well as the room. Our room was very spacious and nice. Loved the fluffy pillows. We had left a nearby local hotel because of a roach problem and we were so happy we found this nice, clean hotel! The staff was nice and the gym area was nice as well. They even have a pool and a splash pad area for kids. So cool!
Let me start by saying, I've never written a review. I fully understand travel experiences come with unanticipated hiccups, and I never set high expectations for the sole purpose of avoiding being disappointed if things don't turn out the way I had hope/planned. I truly don't even know where to begin with this disaster of a ”resort”. I was so excited to bring my 14 year old son here for his Spring Break. As a result of staying here, I will NEVER stay at another Margaritaville property in my life, and I will be sure to spread the word to friends. Let's start with the aesthetics - The property is OLD and is in desperate need of a remodel. I'm not sure what year this was built, however, it was very dated and felt like I was sent back to 1992. The room itself was clean, however, the vents were full of visible dust, and the balcony was FILTHY - I wouldn't even walk out there. The amount of bugs on the balconies was a deterrent within itself, and by opening the sliding glass door that would just be an invitation for them to enter. Valet and Reception are both a joke - NO ONE ever answers the phones. I had so much stuff with us and as a single mom, I needed the help. When I finally went down to ask Valet for a cart I was told none were available (both on arrival and checkout). This was after seeing many other families with carts throughout our stay. I gave my feedback at check out and the front desk girl just said ”sorry you are disappointed.” THE FOOD!! This was quite possible the most horrible part of this entire disaster. The only edible entrees are the chicken tenders and the turkey wrap (poolside). The Landshark restaurant was beyond terrible - both service and food. The restaurants are so grossly understaffed. After waiting 45 minutes for a table at Landshark, and commenting that plenty empty tables were visible, they finally sat the 2 of us. The queso came out cold, so I asked if they could warm it. I checked on it twice after I sent it back, and it finally came out at the very end of our meal as I was getting the check - NO ONE offered to remove it from the check. Our entrees were beyond disgusting, and I couldn't even eat my shrimp tacos that literally had shrimp, cold shredded cheese and a cold tortilla. That's IT. The cafe inside the hotel across from the elevators has equally disgusting food. We ordered pizzas the first night and threw them both out. I door dashed all our meals after eating in all 3 restaurants on property and being equally disgusted with each of them. Poolside - this was probably the most enjoyable experience - despite the food app not working, minimal staff to take orders, and the $18 mixed drinks that were in the smallest plastic cups I've ever seen. Food was brought in a to go box and cheap plastic bag. Boat Rentals - we rented a motorized stand up paddle board that died 10 minutes after we got out into the lake. Had to be rescued. Elevators - this pr
JjakedO771TDI arrived to a very clean property that was well maintained- I checked in with Karen and she was very nice and friendly- I left to work and cameback and was greeted by the night desk clerk Eddie- I very appreciated that they were friendly and could tell that they both cared about their jobs- good employees like this are hard to find! My room 204- was clean and spacious- My bed was comfortable and I appreciated that there was a desk area to sit and do my work at! Warm shower and a microwave and tv all worked well! Parking lot was always well lit and seemed safe enough to where I didn't have to unload my vehicle like to do in some hotels. Thank you staff for making me feel at home!
ゲゲストFound a deal on Trip.com and was thrilled. I was looking for a quiet night away. The villas were perfect -- quiet and fully stocked. The price was great, and when I left early the next morning I was already making plans to come back with the family -- looked like tons of great things to do for all ages, but without the noise that usually goes along with family-friendly resorts.
CCassandra GI rate this place a 4/10 it's a clean place and ONLY the staff is nice, but the price is too high and not much to offer. There is no pool or hot breakfast yet the rate before taxes is $123.00 maybe higher! I had to stay here for a month in a half and the manager felt like $100.00 a night was still enough for this property. The gym has 3 machines in there and only 2 works. For long term stay the rate should be 50-60 dollars a night until he can upgrade or have more to offer. I understand hotels compete on rates, but the other hotels have more to offer, and I understand pricing for the other hotels. I simply feel that this hotel is only high due to the ”competition” in the area which is NOT many. Also, while staying here I didn't receive all my points because the manager did my reservation under the names of my family members that were with me. I'm a Diamond member and never did he ask for permission to take any reservation out my name. And when asked why the names were changed the front desk rep could not give an explanation. Hopefully Wyndham customer care can be of assistance on getting my points for the nights he changed. I was only here due to an organization and NOT having a car. If I had it my way, I would been left this hotel due the high pricing and not enough quality. Thanks for the little help you did offer but no thank you. Stay at the Laquinta they seem better. -Diamond Member
