衞生很差，服務很好，環境也好，就是沒有空調，快熱死我了，晚上又冷死我，吹風機，馬桶都是很舊

We have visited this hotel many times and it’s just the most amazing place . The view is astonishing and the hotel is full of amazing antiques. The staff are well trained and the food is well prepared by the wonderful chef . We go full board as we find it most economical in that area . All dishes are tasty and you cannot complain about the portions! Even I’d there is an event on the food is amazing and service never suffers . We are always given the best room and I am not going to tell you what number it is ! There is a lovely pool surrounded by the gorgeous flowers and with amazing views of the lake . The Mittermair family run a really tight ship and are always overseeing what is going on . They are a lovely family and the added bonus of their son to the team adds to the family feel . We will return next year and can’t wait for that !

See text in english and french below: Voir texte en français et anglais ci-dessous: FRENCH: Habitué du Victoria depuis longtemps et m'étant familiarisé avec l'endroit depuis des années, ainsi que son aimable staff d'habitude, je dois dire que les choses ont changé depuis quelques mois. Ma famille et moi-même sommes extrêmement déçus des dernières fois où nous avons dîné là-bas. Nous sommes venus fin décembre 2023, pour y déguster leur Boeuf Chateaubriand délicieux. Nous avons d'abord attendu plus de 30 minutes avant de recevoir notre plat. Le service était sincèrement regrettable, voir honteux. Lorsque j'ai demandé si un petit supplément de sauce béarnaise était possible, le serveur s'est retourné vers moi avec la saucière vide et m'a dit mot pour mot: "il n'y a plus de sauce, vous voyez bien qu'elle est vide?". Choqué par ce commentaire, je n'ai pas osé en redemander. Ensuite de quoi nous avons commandé le chariot de dessert, lequel est exceptionnel là-bas. Deux serveurs ont tant bien que mal essayé de pousser le chariot jusqu'à nous. Arrivés devant nous, ni l'un, ni l'autre ne savait vraiment présenter les différents plats du chariot, et l'un d'eux en particulier était agacé par nos questions sur les différents plats. Lorsque que je lui ai demandé de me servir, celui-ci a d'abord fait tomber la moitié d'un gâteau parterre, ce à quoi il a répondu: "mais bordel". Ensuite je lui ai demandé de me servir une sorte de tarte moelleuse. Il a tant bien que mal essayé d'en couper une tranche, mais il a écrasé celle-ci sur mon assiette et me l'a servie comme cela. Par la suite, l'un des maîtres d'hôtel est venu nous demander s'il s'était passé quelque chose, et je lui ai expliqué ce qui vient d'être présenté ci-dessus. Il s'est simplement excusé de l'assiette que j'avais reçue et m'en a ramené une nouvelle avec une jolie tranche bien présentée. Finalement, nous étions déçus de ce repas, qui plus est: aucun geste n'a été proposé à notre égard pour ces petits incidents. Je suis retourné le 13 février 2024 au Victoria avec un ami, et nous avons cette fois-ci commandé des noix des Saint-Jacques ainsi qu'une entrecôte de bœuf avec sauce au pinot noir et échalotes. Une fois le repas terminé, nous sommes rentrés, et avons été les deux malades toute la nuit, probablement à cause d'une noix de Saint-Jacques. Je précise que nous étions les deux en pleine forme avant d'aller dîner ! Pour conclure, je trouve qu'au vu des prix des aliments et boissons du Victoria, le minimum serait d'avoir un service de qualité. le Victoria est connu pour son service classe et discret, à l'ancienne, ce qui fait tout son charme et fait partie de l'expérience à mon sens. Le problème est qu'à ces deux occasions, nous sommes tombés sur de nouveaux serveurs, probablement peu entraînés et qui n'avaient pas l'air d'être au courant du standing de ce restaurant. This grand hotel has been beautifully maintained. It has gorgeous grounds and views of Lake Geneva, an expansive breakfast (included with the room) and is well staffed. Glion is a quiet alternative to downtown Montreux, with many transportation options a short walk from the hotel, making it a very convenient base. The Victoria is family run, and the family has a strong presence overseeing operations inside the hotel, unusual for a hotel of this size. At first we were given room 6 on the first floor, a stuffy room overlooking the parking lot. We asked to be moved and were given room 70 on the 5th floor, a large room with a clawfoot tub in the beautiful bathroom. The shower was small, a tight fit even for a small person, but otherwise the room was spacious and lovely.

Rare and delightful service that made us fee both welcome and pampered. From the front desk to housekeeping to Sebastian’s friendly and impeccable service each morning at the sumptuous breakfast, truly, everyone we encountered here was at the top of their game. The grounds are utterly beautiful and the views manage to be tranquil and breathtaking at the same time. We enjoyed strolling and sitting out in the park like setting and being serenaded by birdsong and cow bells. Flower pots were bursting with exquisite tulips, and the garden statuary fit right in. The lobby, restaurant and bar area were all comfortable and inviting, and the rooms very spacious and well appointed - full of old world charms like an oversized bathtub and French doors to a balcony and closet. The bed was heavenly and you may choose from six types of pillows for personalized and sound slumber. The included breakfast is extravagant. I can’t say enough about the coffee. And again, Sebastian. We hope to come back and encourage you to stay here when in the area.

Comfortable, high-quality, historical, with extraordinary views, clean and quiet, delicious breakfast, and elegant service. We loved this authentic hotel. The hotel's location was unique. Everything was perfect. We can't wait to come again.

If you ever want to know what it was like to stay at a grand hotel a hundred years ago, then this is the place. Of all the places we have stayed, no hotel turned back the clock as well as the Hotel Victoria. From the room decor, to the public areas, to the gardens, it truly felt from another time. The highlight has to be the wonderful staff, and that dessert cart in the dining room in the evening. From our room balcony, we had a fantastic view of both the lake and the mountains beyond.

My wife and I spent 4 nights at the Hotel Victoria in Glion, a stones throw from Montreux city center. Perched high on a hill the views of Lake Geneva and the surrounding mountains are amazing as are elements of the hotel. In a word the interior of the hotel, although a bit dated, is excellent. Beautiful period pieces of furniture are everywhere in the common spaces. The dining terrace where breakfast and dinner are severe (weather permitting) is spectacular. The daily breakfast is sumptuous with an abundance of choices from traditional bacon/sausage and eggs, to pastries, yogurt, cold cuts and cheeses...you name it. The dinner menu is excellent and the food served there and the level of service is outstanding. With regards to areas to improve upon while our room was nicely appointed the room is definitely dated...it could use a little face lift. Some of the furniture in the room while very attractive, was not very comfortable and the rooms (certainly ours) are not air conditioned which definitely required a fan, particularly for rooms with windows and balconies facing west as the afternoon sun descends. To access Montreux the easiest way is to take the funicular down the hillside where you will get off right next to the train station. From there, uou can hop on the train for the 2-minute ride to Montreux or walk. By the way, a great perk (that the hotel provides) is a pass for taking the train through the Montreux and Vevey region for free; .but to places like Lausanne or Geneva it does require purchasing a ticket. Overall, we had a marvelous time at the Hotel Victoria. The staff are very courteous and professional...every staff member goes out of their way to provide assistance to hotel guests. A great spot in Montreux.

Spacious and very comfortable bedroom with large terrace and lakeside view. Dinner was excellent and all the staff seem to be local. On the negative side: The Sunday breakfast buffet was more or less empty at 9:45 and the choice of buffet food does not merit 5 star status. One of the waiters successfully demonstrated an “I would prefer to not work here” attitude. That’s why give only 4 out of 5 stars.
