However, the surrounding is in construction. Don't expect to have a great view from the room. On the other hand, the hotel itself is like a museum. Good if you expect a cozy ambience.
CChowThe hotel is located within the scenic waterfall。there is a side entrance that gets you into the big waterfall attraction. However non china national have to purchase the attraction at the ticket booth , we cannot book online as it is meant for china citizens only. Buy the ticket first n go back to hotel to go to the big water attractions first through the side entrance .We had booked 2 rooms for 74 sgd and a single (supposedly) better room for 94sgd . The 2 rooms was nice as its same floor as the reception ( no stairs to climb) with balcony facing the attraction with some greenery. unfortunately ,the more expensive room was located 2 floors down n a walk away from reception. Sadly the windows faced a concrete structure with no view at all. The rooms are bad for elderly as there is many steps. Request earlier from hotel staff if there is elderly . There is only 1 restaurant in the hotel.
ゲゲストBasic but functional hotel. Room toilet was poorly designed, without any hooks in the shower stall, such that there was a need to step directly into the room after showering. The room itself was comfortable and clean, but the poor design of the toilet caused privacy issues. Breakfast had virtually no variety, even though the noodles cooked on-demand were tasty and of good quality. Hotel staff originally seemed a little cold, but were extremely helpful in handling our baggage. Hotel is a short walk away from the main entrance of the waterfall park, close to many eateries that sell affordable food open at night.
SSoh Kien PengThis is one of the best hotels that I have stayed in China. It is newly opened just last year and the amenities and facilities are so modern and clean. It is relatively cheap at less than S$35/- per night and I booked it via Trip.com. Breakfast is provided. Although it is not the continental buffet, the noodles, eggs, buns, soya bean, sweet potatoes, vegetables, etc are equally nutritious and stomach filling. There is a washing machine and dryer near the lobby and the counter staff, Yang De Rong was so helpful and considerate that she hang up the laundry for us after the drying in order not to disturb our sleep. One of the staff even drove us to the entrance of Huangguoshu Waterfall even though it is only a short 10 mins walk to the attraction. During our departure, the boss of the hotel personally drove us to the coach station so that we could take the public bus to the high speed train station. The service is marvellous and I strongly recommend this hotel to visitors to Huangguoshu Waterfall. I will stay here again if I come again.
