Fantastic location, beautiful property, very friendly and helpful staff, and beautiful room and view from the pool/bar! Perfect for a Nerja getaway

Return Visit - Once again excellent. This was our second visit to Nerja and again staying at the Hotel Plaza Cavana. Centrally located so ideal for exploring the delights of Nerja. A beautiful well presented hotel, room was spotlessly clean, friendly helpful staff. Board is B&B only which wasn’t a problem for us because there is a fantastic selection of restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets all nearby - recommend Oliva for something a little bit special. Whilst the hotel is very tranquil and calm by the nature of its location you will experience noise from the Bars/Restaurants in Plaza nothing too disturbing in our opinion but recommend you request an inner courtyard facing room if you are easily disturbed. Looking forward to our return in June.

Lovely bright, clean, efficient hotel with pleasant, helpful staff located very close to the Balcon De Europe in a delightful square with cafes, shops and restaurants. Our room had been completely refurbished and was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We had a small balcony overlooking the square with a view of the sea. At night with the doors closed the room was quiet and peaceful. Nerja is a lovely place to visit and this hotel, in the heart of the old town, is highly recommended.

We're here for a short break right now and I can't fault the place. Comfortable rooms and beds, and the whole place is spotless. We got an early check-in which was appreciated. Room overlooking a back street which we expected and is fine. Lovely friendly staff. Rooftop pool with gorgeous views. Honestly haven't got any complaints and I'm hard to please. We will be back.

Hotel Plaza Cavana has been a favourite our ours for many years & on this occasion we thoroughly enjoyed our stay . Rooms are adequate, spotlessly clean , bed extremely comfortable. Each room is equipped with safe & fridge, air conditioning. Breakfast was basic but adequate. Staff are always friendly & welcoming. Would definitely recommend for location & comfort

We had a two week stay at the Hotel Plaza Cavana as part of a package with Jet2 Holidays. The hotel is in a brilliant central position so is close to all the resort amenities, tapas bars and beaches. The bus station is about a 15 minute walk, so you really don't need a car. The whole hotel is immaculately maintained and the staff are all friendly and helpful. We stayed in a Comfort Room on the third floor, which was very spacious and came equipped with AC, TV and fridge. Although we only had a courtyard view, we didn't mind as we were close to the roof terrace, which is just a great place to relax in the sunshine. The pool is very small and wasn't heated so a bit too chilly to use in November. The room was serviced everyday, and supplies of tea, coffee and bottled water replenished. We had no noise at night which you may get from the rooms on the front. The buffet breakfast was very good, providing an ample selection of hot and cold items, and it was nice to have the choice of having it on the small outside terrace. We found the Plaza Cavana ideal for what we wanted, but if you prefer large hotels with extra facilities and entertainment for children, this probably won't suit you. However, if you're looking for somewhere which is clean, tidy and in a central location, this is the perfect place to stay.

This is a pleasant hotel in a great location just a few hundred yards from the Balcón de Europa in Nerja. The staff are very friendly and provide great service to the guests. It is not easy to find as it is not well signed and is at the bottom of a road that is inaccessible by car. Although we drove I would not recommend it unless you’re going to leave your car in one of the public car parks. The hotel car park is subterranean- you have to drive into a lift that is very small so you won’t get anything but a small car into it. To get to the entrance, I had to drive the wrong way down a one way street (under instructions from one of the hotel staff) and then do a difficult manoeuvre involving going on and off the pavement several times to get the car straight enough to get into the lift. And coming out was similar - not an experience I ever want to repeat! Our room was on the first floor and we did get a lot of noise from the comings and going’s outside in the communal parts of the hotel. The room itself was of a good size with a very comfortable double bed. The furnishings were adequate although not of a particularly high quality - but appropriate for the standard of hotel. There were English channels on the TV, a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. The bathroom was a good size too with a bath as well as a shower. Two particularly nice features of the hotel were the rooftop pool and terrace/bar, great for enjoying some downtime in the sun and the marvellous sunsets whilst we were there. We did not eat at the hotel because there were so many fantastic bars and restaurants literally on the doorstep. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and thought it was great value for money.

We had a wonderful holiday in Nerja at the Hotel Cavana Plaza. The hotel was spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained. Our room 202 was on the 2nd floor and overlooked the square. Two lifts give easy access to the upper floors. The Juliet balcony was a nice outside space, with room for one chair. The rooftop pool and bar were brilliant, with views to the sea and mountains. There were plenty of sunbeds and tables; it was never busy. The staff were so friendly and very helpful; they went out of their way to help. The beds were changed daily and the room was cleaned to a very high standard. Pool and beach towels are available for a deposit of €5. We were able to use all the facilities after checking out on our departure day. There was a wide choice of food available for breakfast, including cereals, juices, breads, sausages, bacon, eggs, mushrooms, beans, cheeses, cold meats and cakes. After a big breakfast I was set for the day. No need for lunch. The hotel is located in the centre of town, just a few minutes walk to the Balcon de Europa and the tourist streets. The town is packed with delightful restaurants, book your table in advance to avoid disappointment. Visit Cochrans bar close to the Balcon de Europa; it has a great outdoor area overlooking the sea. El Burro Blanco was a great little find; the Flamenco show there was outstanding, remember to pre-book as it’s a tiny venue.

Lovely ten day stay here. Staff go above and beyond to help. Pool small but a really attractive area and great sea views. Room and hotel - spotless. Very central to Nerja Centre itself and we didn't have any issues with access to sun loungers or street noise. Attractive lobby and furnishings. If you are looking for a very clean, quiet, well looked after boutique type hotel and room in the centre of Nerja you will find just that here.
