The Birkenhof Spa & Genuss Resort was an elegant and cozy retreat with first class service and food. I would say the rooms were fine, if not a little basic, but they had lovely balconies with incredible views of the surrounding area. The week I stayed, there was a heat wave and the rooms were a bit uncomfortable because there was no air circulation, even with the patio door open during the night. the property is quite luxurious with several warm pools to choose from as well as a natural spring cold lagoon to swim in. There is also a gym and spa area. The breakfast is quite nice with a wide range of options. There are also many hiking opportunities nearby which are fun to explore. I was quite happy with my stay here and would gladly come again if my travels brought me near this part of Bavaria.

This has to be considered one of the best spas in the world! The amenities and features are out of this world. The property is absolutely breathtaking. The breakfast was delicious and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. We loved the clean and comfortable room! We hope to be back soon.

Amazing place!

It is a hotel on the top a hill, not that high, where when you get s beautiful day the landscape is truly beautiful. The room is nicely maintained and all amenities ok. Restaurant is nice and even still in Corona time, serving a decent food. In this hote one should stay in as there’s not many alternatives surrounding it but bushes ..

Sensationelle Alleinlage mit weitem Ausblick und Ruhe pur. Wirklich sehr gutes Abendessen! Tolle Frühstücksauswahl und leckerer Mittagsimbiss. Kompletter Genuss und Entspannung. Die komplette Belegschaft hat Freude an ihrem Beruf und man fühlt sich super gut aufgehoben und bedient.

Heute hier zur Tageswellness mit Massage. Das Wetter traumhaft schön und der Tag super entspannt. Essen hervorragend Pool und Saunabereich einfach nur herrlich.Wassertemperatur ist für jeden etwas dabei von 27 Grad bis 40 Grad.Die Massage war sehr angenehm und gut gemacht.Die Anfahrt von Kelheim ist nur 40 Minuten.Die Aussicht am Pool ist sehr schön. Einziger Minuspunkt das Spezi ist mit 6 Euro 0,5 l einfach zu teuer.Wasserspender im Saunabereich war defekt. Ansonsten ein gelungener Tag

Bei DER BIRKENHOF handelt es sich um eine besondere Destination, da das familiengeführte Hotel auch noch das Sterne-Restaurant "Eisvogel" beheimatet. Diese Kombination führt gefühlt dazu, dass die Sternequalität auf die Hotelküche abfärbt. Die Menüs sind ausnahmslos hervorragend. Beim herausragenden Service ist der positive Teamgedanke erkennbar. Auch die trainerinnengeführten Sportprogramm (Yoga, Pilates) sind sehr attraktiv.

Sensationelle Atmosphäre, alle Mitglieder des Personals waren überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Chefin des Hauses begrüßt jeden Einzelnen am Morgen und am Abend ... und das schon seit vielen Jahren. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die herausragende Küche, liebevoll und einfallsreich. Der Wellnessbereich lässt keine Wünsche offen.

Es war vom Ankommen bis zur Abreise ein gelungenes erholsames Wochenende. Tolles Zimmer, hervorragende Küche, vielseitiger Wellnessbereich, kein störender Lärm und trotzdem gute Unterhaltung. Der Abend an der Bar bildet den perfekten Tagesabschluss.
