リッジス ホーバート(Rydges Hobart, an EVT hotel)

The bed was large and very comfortable. The bathroom was very large too. It was all clean. Most guest rooms are in annexes, with reception and dining in the old building (old for Oz, anyway) which boasts a bit of style. Breakfast was quite good but items such as bacon and scrambled eggs did not stay very hot about the buffet. I liked the sourdough. Reception was prompt and professional. Now the minor dislikes: it’s a good 30 minute walk from the CBD / waterfront, up a bit of hill all the way. (There is an area with plenty of bars etc about half way). I walked several times a day and it was OK. Most guests will have cars though. The living area in the room needed a TV. If there can only be one TV per room, it would be better there than in front of the bed in my opinion. Finally, one of the two wardrobes is locked up, presumably to store linen etc. The other only has hanging space so there was no shelving. I felt a little cheated that half of “my” potential wardrobe space was denied to me! On balance, I would consider staying again, even though it is a little way out of town. Overall it is large, clean, comfortable and manages a little style.

房間空間很大，舉架低了點，但卧房跟客廳分開，使用起來方便，卧房有一個露台，可以直接站到外面，雖然房間沒有空調，但掛壁式電暖器很給力，反正我跟孩子都不覺得冷。床也很舒服。就是這個早餐，品種太少，需要提高！

No frills Rydges. King bed, terrible. Huge lump through the middle and sagging both sides. Mould on the ceiling of the showe.

Enjoyed our stay at Rydges Hobart. Easy parking- it was about a 1-2km walk into CBD, but easy to grab an Uber or catch bus. Rooms were spacious and clean, and happy hour at the bar was good value. Overall a good stay.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, I did feel that for the cost of the room breakfast should have been included, but my own fault for not checking properly. Overall was a nice place to stay while in Hobart.

Behind the bathroom door ifvu wipe it u can see the amount of dust. Also around the drainage in sink and around taps need a great clean

Great location to Calvary Hospital, Lenah Valley. Check-in was excellent - great explanation of complex. Room was very clean and serviced daily. Beds were so comfy - like sleeping on a cloud. We requested a late check-out - which wasn't a problem. Highly recommend.

Excellent rooms that were spacious. Great parking facilities. The absence of an elevator was a negative point as carrying bags up flights of stairs was not ideal. The room had a heater that did not work properly, after speaking to the staff they provided a portable heater. Laundry facilities were very poor. Dryers were dirty and filled to the brim with lint - looked like it had not been cleaned in months.

This hotel is in a beautiful old historic building, though we weren't staying in the main building but a newer room, it was still really unique. Our room was perfect for a family with two kids as we had a seperate room and could stay up a bit once the kids were asleep. Beds are comfortable, furnishings are nice and the room was warm. Parking free and easy, and hotel easy to find. Would definately recommend.
