Value for money hotel, very nice view from the cafe. Good breakfast in the morning. The staff brought in a fan immediately when we told them the one we had wasn't working

We had a second wonderful stay at Mora Heights Hotel. The rooms are simple, clean with hot water, moskito nets, a terrasse with an amazing view. What else do we need? The manager Wondee runs this place on an exellent way. He is able to get a good visitors mix, with travellors and students or people from Arba Minch, who enjoy in the same way the wonderful fruits shakes or the tasty meals. It gives us travellors the feeling to be part of the living here. Specially on sunday the terrasse is crowded with couples enjoying their free day. The manager is all day arround answering our questions and is very helpful. Because of him, we`ve even still gotten a perfect medical trea**ent at 9pm. Betam Ameseghenalo to Wondee an his team. The room was lovely, all I needed, calm, spacious, clean, a wide bed with good mosquito netting. The views outstanding from my balcony, I could have sat and gazed for hours. I heard a hyena in the night and saw baboons. The breakfasts were ample, the staff friendly. I would most definitely return and spend more time. With only 2 nights we went onto a lot to explore the sights locally , another time I would build in time to just sit and relax.

The forest view is incredible, the sevice was exceptional as well. I would definitely send a friend there. Be careful of the wild monkeys, they enjoy stealing your food, and personal belongings. The compound is quite nice for a walk, and the outdoor seats are nice. Above all the forest view is super breathing taking.

My friend and I are both students and we went to Ethiopia to do research, but after hearing wonderful things about Arba Minch we decided to spend one day there. However, we were on budget (because as I mentioned we are only students) and we found a good deal on Mora Heights hotel for 1 night, so we decided go for it. We made the mistake of booking it via the website agoda.com and when we finalized the purchase, it told us the booking was on a different date than the one we had chosen and that the purchase was non-refundable (My first advice: I wouldn’t book with Agoda.com). So, my friend and I called the Hotel, explained the situation and told them that we were still interested in coming to the Hotel but asked whether it would be possible to change the dates. The receptionist very politely told us it would be no problem to do that and that she would change the date on the booking and send us a confirmation e-mail with this change. After waiting a couple hours and still not having received the confirmation email, we called again. We were once again told we would receive the confirmation email shortly, but we never did. So, in the end we decided to give a try anyway and we went to Arba Minch. On that same day in the morning, the receptionist called us to confirm that we were coming on that day, and we were happy to hear that they indeed had saved the room for us. When we arrived there everything went smoothly. They were very welcoming, the room was very clean, there was a fan available in the room, hot water, clean towels, and good WIFI! But the best part of it was the view from the restaurant! The view is simply breathtaking. So, my friend and I went on with our day and had an amazing time. The next morning, we went to check out, showed the receipt of our payment online, the receptionist took it to one of the managers of the hotel, who took a photo of it with his phone and that was it. Since we still had a busy day ahead of us before heading back, we asked the receptionist whether we could leave our things in the reception so that we didn’t have to carry it with us, and they were very nice about it and let us keep it there the whole day. However, once we came back to take the backpacks, a new receptionist that was there told us that we had to pay for our room because the payment that we made via the website was for a different day. We then explained it to them that this was previously discussed with the receptionist, not only on the phone before arriving but also once we got there, and that the receptionist said she had changed the date of our booking because if otherwise the booking could not have been changes we would have found a cheaper place to stay in. However, the receptionist insisted we had to pay. After a while arguing, my friend who was already not feeling well before, got very stressed, felt even worse and had to go sit down. I have worked in hotel industry for over 10years in the USA. I am being honest Mora wasn’t in my mind instead I was hoping to stay at Haile Resort but there were some government officials at the time and both Haile and Paradise was fully booked so we find mora and decided to stay there. Both of us didn’t expect it but we get the most great service we couldn’t believe. We stopped at both Haile and Paradise we just paid more for same service that’s all. All the stuff from the guard to the management team they all are very welcoming Their food specifically the firfir and chechebsa on breakfast was my favorites. One of the day I went to Paradise and I asked mango juice without sugar, guess what? they said they don’t have it … meaning they pretty much don’t make fresh juice ! But at mora I have freshly made mango juice every time I ask! The rooms are very clean and you have unbelievable green view from it ! I was staying at room #1 you will believe it when you see it ! Overall our stay at MoraHeights was beyond our expectations. we had to extend our stay from 2 nights to 5 nights we have to call to the airlines and pay the extension fee. I wish I can name everyone at Mora but as a team leader I would like to pass my ‘THANK YOU’ to all stuff via ‘Wonde’ the all time smiling man who leads the team at front! Thank you and I highly recommend everyone to visit Arbaminch and definitely stay at MoraHeights. Peace !

Mora is a beautiful place to stay in. Today is our 3rd day. We are planning to stay here for 6 days. The forest view + lake view + birds + quietness of the place + the garden = an adventurous experience! The room is also clean. The waitresses are welcoming and humble. The food is also delicious. Thank you, Mora and Wondemagegn for hosting us!

Although at first we did not get a lakeview room because there where some governments officials for some meetings. After 1 night we did get a nice double lakeview room. Staff was very willing to help make our stay comforable and easy, giving advise on what to see in the area and transport. Food was also very nice specially the fresh juices.

I'm am 80 year old American Solo backpack traveler. My 4-day stay at Mora Heights Lodge was superior in every respect: the room was spacious, well appointed, with lots of hot water any time of the day, or night; not a hole in my mosquito netting. The bed was quite comfortable, and I had a table and chair for writing. The hotel's dining area, inside, or outside was delightful, spotless. Whether one selected a meal from the menu, or buffet, the portions were plentiful, and delicious. Management arranged for me to visit the World Heritage Site Village of Konso, and the experience was very fairly priced. My driver was experienced, and I never felt uncomfortable traveling with him. Should I ever find myself in Arba Minch again, and I hope I do, I will certainly book myself in for a much longer stay. I highly recommend the Mora Heights Hotel.
