Nice clean comfortable rooms, easy parking if you arrive before 6pm. Food and service is fantastic, upper end of good value. Breakfast included is very good.

Very lovely overnight stay: we had a wonderful meal in the pub and a very comfortable night in the guest room. The accommodation is modern, clean and warm with everything you need, the dinner and breakfast were delicious and the welcome and service was incredibly hospitable. We had 2 rooms, (two couples) and we will definitely stay here again. About 25 minute drive from Bath city centre

Stayed for one night November 2023 - lovely and friendly owners who couldn’t do enough to help. Room was a little on the small side but spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed. The road outside is a little noisy but doesn’t get busy until about 7am. Breakfast the next morning was absolutely lovely. The hotel is in a nice location, halfway between Bristol and Bath, with regular bus service to Glastonbury, Bristol and Bath, and lots of nice walks close by. The car park also has an EV charger. We would definitely stay again.

Great place to stay. Nice food and excellent staff. Amy and Kelly were perfect examples of customer service done right.

Book here you won’t regret it .Adam and Lee were wonderful hosts.Adam went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.The Restaurant meals were to a very good standard and top quality whilst retaining is home cooked feel.The pub was a small village bar with a wonderful friendly atmosphere. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The Beds were very comfortable, the bedroom and bathroom was very clean and comfortable. There was tea making facilities and the tea coffee tray was well stocked. Small Fans were supplied in our rooms (so after reading some old reviews regarding the rooms being hot before I booked to stay here), I’m happy to say this was NOT an issue for us at all and the temperature was very comfortable. My biggest observation is what a wonderful ambience that Adam and Lee have created in their hotel/pub and it sure shows in how relaxed, kind and happy their staff are. We arrived after reception had closeed but adam remained to meet us when we arrived. We were asked what we wanted for breakfast and it was generally good. Only negative is that it is situated on a main road which has heavy traffic which can affect some light sleepers.

Excellent value for money Lovely people I would recommend

Husband, mother in law and me stayed one night for a wedding. The Staff could not have been more helpful. Room was clean with a comfortable bed. A good breakfast with excellent choice. We would definitely stay again!

The Temple Inn, resting roadside in the village of Temple Cloud, has proven a real find. We used this as a stop-off point as we travelled from the north of England to Cornwall. The village is situated between Bristol and Bath and the inn is smack bang in the middle of it. Opposite is a very useful garage and shop. The Temple Inn provides top quality food and accommodation in a very friendly setting. We dined here both nights and had breakfast on both mornings. The food was superb - we sampled outstanding seafood and fish dishes, as well as a great burger and gammon steak. Breakfast too was fantastic - freshly cooked to order. The accommodation is fine and it’s dog friendly (as is the restaurant/pub). All rooms face away from the busy road and provide ample space. The beds are very comfortable and the en-suite features a walk-in shower. Our room was equipped with tea/coffee and a fan. That fan was needed as the room is naturally warm, but don’t let that put you off. The Temple Inn is a gem and if we didn’t live so far away, we would visit more often. It’s a great base from which to explore Bristol, Bath, Cheddar Gorge and the breathtaking cathedral in Wells. We hope to return one day.
