To Whom it may concern, my experience with this hotel was not a good one. When I first checked in on 8/14/24 The checked me into room #257 which seemed to be a storage room with paint buckets and different things. So I walked back to the front desk and explained to the guy at the front desk that the room was a storage room. He said I thought i put #207 I said no it was #257 here is the video that i took with the key and room number. The guy at the front desk said and the door opened? I said yes. He apologized then gave me another room. #221. So I went to that room to inspect it to make sure it was ok, only to discover that there were stains on the sheets and black mold in the bathroom on the cieling. and it looked to have been painted over, and not done well. I then went back to the front desk, They guy was leaving for the night and a female was there so she gave me another room #357. She stated to let her know how that room was. To my suprise it was better. I think the the hotel can be upgraded a little more and housekeeping should make sure they are verifying that the cleanliness of the room is up to par. I then parked in the back of the hotel, to be closer to my room, and none of the doors let me in with my key i had to walk all the way back to the front of the hotel just to get into the building. When I got there the guy at the front desk stated that we can walk out the doors but we cant get back in. I then asked then what the point of the doors having key access if the keys wont work. a little frustrated at this point. so I left it alone. I thing I should receive so type of accommodation for the inconvenience. Then there was a $12 fee per person for breakfast. I thought Breakfast was included. But that was that. Also the coffee machine didn't work in the room. I was not happy. But the DNC was in town and there was no other place to book everything was sold out so I stayed, But I was not happy at all.
Nice modern hotel. With lots to do near by. Convenient location with a great atmosphere inside. Rooms are clean and comfy, easy to relax after a long day. I will be back next time I have to come to the Chicago area for work or pleasure. Very much recommend this hotel if you need to be in the Bolingbrook area.
MMaps31217049058We spent our honeymoon weekend at the Drake. It was a fabulous hotel and the customer service was top tier. We especially received excellent service from Rigo and Maria in the Lounge bar area. They congratulated us on our wedding with so much excitement and the next evening remembered us and showed even more hospitality. They made our stay absolutely incredible! The Drake Oakbrook was an outstanding experience for my new husband and I.
So I planned a Spa Day at Le Meridien Oakbrook & I must mention that the Spa Therapist were great. My husband & I enjoyed our massages & facials. I would have given more stars for them however the aspects were great disappointments. I was very disappointed that a floor was not dedicated to the Spa. Instead it was in two guest rooms converted into somewhat cramped rooms. SMH Would have expected more from both the hotel and where it's located. We were told we could grab a bite to eat in the restaurant on the 9th Floor in between services. The restaurant was Closed! Then we were told we could grab a coffee and a quick bite downstairs in the Lobby. Apparently the person we saw at the bar on the way in to our 10:00AM left because when I came downstairs the bar was Closed. So now I must wait 45 minutes for my husband, hungry and thirsty. Would not recommend this Spa to anyone. Definitely didn't start our Wedding Anniversary activities well. Prayerfully it will get better.
Raul is a great bartender…. He made the experience so much more enjoyable. Great service all around. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and put together. Overall a great experience and we will be returning again and again.
JjuliebI6789BSOur room was clean when we checked in. Eddie, the man at the front desk in the evening is wonderful and very helpful. He really went out of his way for us as much as he could. The pots and pans were very nice, good quality stainless steel which was very nice. The ice maker kicks out 7 cubes every two hours so if you want ice your first night, ask the front desk. We did and Eddie was happy to get me plenty of ice to get us through until the ice maker caught up. I requested a general handicapped accessible room (my husband is disabled) and stressed that we did not need a roll in shower when I booked the room. When we arrived we were told our room wasn’t ready (it was before check in time so we were willing to wait until check in time), and that we were booked into a room with a roll in shower. The woman said the previous guest had just checked out (it was several hours past check out time so they should have been told to leave if the staff knew another guest would need that room) and that we had to have that room since it had a roll in shower. I told her again that we did not need a roll in shower, just a general handicapped accessible suit and that my husband would be fine in the bathroom with just grab bars. She told me I had to have the room with the roll in shower because another staff member had booked it that way and there was nothing she could do. We waited until after check in time and were told that our room was still not ready and we’d have to continue to wait. It had been over an hour and was now past check in time. This was NOT acceptable. If a guest is expected to be booked into a room and that is the only room they are allowed to have then the previous guest in the room needs to be told they have to check out by check out time. There is no reason that we should have had to wait well past check in time to get settled into our room. We should have been reimbursed points for that since we were not able to use our room through no fault of ours. My daughter asked the woman why we HAD to have that particular room and was informed again that it was because it had a roll in shower and the room was booked that way and there was nothing she could do and we HAD to have THAT room, we could not have any other room. My daughter explained again that we didn’t need a roll in shower and asked why we had to have THAT room, and that we would be perfectly happy with a different room that was ready. She then asked if my husband could step in and out of a bathtub and my daughter said he could. I had already told the woman this. She finally got us into a room that was a general handicapped room, with a regular tub, which is what I had requested both when I booked the room and when I attempted to check in. The living room curtains were on an automated system to open and close them from a switch in the wall, but the track was broken and the curtain hung limply at one end. We were not able to operate the system because of this so were not able to open or
ゲゲストWas a good trip. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly but the hotel had some maintenance issues. Peeling wallpaper and paint. Etc. Also, our kids had food delivered. The front desk didn't call them to notify them of the delivery and someone claimed it as theirs and stole it.
