From the moment we hit the lobby could tell this is a nice hotel. Better than most Hyatt Place. Desk staff very knowledgeable able to provide restaurant recommendations. Joes KC BBQ is outstanding. Everything was very clean. Room was ready but knew this through the Hyatt app. The only negative was that shower pressure could be improved. Really satisfied with the experience at this location.
Traveler beware, read the reviews before you book. If you book through a Travel agency beware of this facility, super 8 Lenexa KS, will not honor refunds but will be glad to upgrade for additional expenses. After countless phone calls and emails no satisfactory results were reached. Inspect the room before you accept it. Enter at your on risk, not well lite and lots of non-residents just milling around outside.
Let me start by saying the room fridges have energy savers so, inside on right side, you need to hit the “snowflake” button. It turns fridge from slightly cool to nice and cold. It goes for two hours. You don’t have to keep hitting it but I’d hit it 1-2 times per day. Hotel was clean, well kept, comfortable. Staff was friendly. Breakfast had 3 egg dishes, a potato scramble, oatmeal, usual bread items, waffles.
Second time a this hotel. The front desk staff are awesome (early evening shift, no experience with morning/day). The hotel is going thru a refresh so hopefully updating the extremely dated rooms. The first time I stayed on the third floor it was nice, this last time stayed on the second floor, and had a smokey smell to it in the hallways despite the non smoking signs all over. The beds overall are okay. Rooms are clean and the breakfast is standard as other Hampton Inns. I have stayed at quiet a few as a hilton diamond member with work travel. Will stay again, just hoping for the rooms to be all updated. The staff and cleanliness is what makes it for me.
ゲゲストChecked in to this hotel about 4:00 in the afternoon. Went to my room and found that the bathroom was all moldy and as I am very allergic to mold, I immediately went to front desk and asked to be moved. The clerk moved me down the hall to another room. This was a handicapped room, which I did not need, but I put my stuff in the room and thanked them for the room change and hurried out to go across to the hospital where my sister was in icu. When I returned that night, tired from an nine hour drive and several hours at the hospital, I was looking forward to a hot shower and bed. What I found was a shower curtain that lacked an foot or better from reaching the floor, and a shower head that squirted water all over the bathroom, so everything in the room got wet. What a mess. When I complained the next morning, I was told that that was just the way it was since I had been moved the night before. Also, they had no locked doors to the outside, so anyone could walk in or out during the night. It is a dirty, unsafe place. Wyndham needs to drop this hotel from their banner immediately. I only hope they are reading these reviews.
