My wife and I stayed at the Altera for four nights. Its main advantage is that it is located in the old town, which is an area of countless shops, cafes, restaurants, and museums. The hotel itself is comfortable. The room was large, the bed soft, the bathroom also large. Breakfast was good, even including vegetables (not common in European hotels)! However in the room, there was no safe, no fridge/minibar, and the coffee maker was the kind that can only be used with its own "disk" capsules, meaning that it cannot be used to heat water for tea etc. The staff was friendly and helpful, and was happy to put a bag of the food we brought in their fridge, but it would have been more convenient to have a fridge in the room.
