"Very distinctive hotel"

"We went here for a few days of golf in the area. The Burgdorfs hotel is one of several hotel linked to some of the golf courses in the area, hence they offer stays including 3-course dinners, and green fees for the golf courses they associate with. There are more golf courses in the area but if you want to play those that are not associated with the hotel one needs to arrange those directly with the golf course(s). We booked an arrangement for 6 people for 2 nights incl. breakfast, 2 x a 3- course dinner, 2 x green fee (for Oldenburger Land and Thulsfelder Talsperre). I stayed 4 nights as I had to travel to and from Warsaw so travelled a day earlier and left a day later. The communication with the hotel was absolutely fantastic and have to compliment them for their flexibility as over the several months prior to our trip we had unfortunately quite some changes in our group due to illness or otherwise urgent reasons. All changes were accommodated without any problem which made my life as trip organiser a lot simpler. A big thank you to the staff that was dealing with all mail traffic and changes. One of the things I asked for, based on reviews on this site, was to accommodate us in the rooms not adjacent to the railway tracks, also this request was confirmed. The check-in was very pleasant and pretty quick. The room was specious, very clean with a very good quality bed and a sizeable bathroom. WIFI was available for free and of a very good quality. Breakfast had more than enough choices for everyone and was well organised and continuously refreshed. The 3-course group dinners were simply perfect with a wide choice of starters, main courses and deserts. Also the food during my non-arrangement nights was of an excellent quality. Service was simply impeccable!! Very friendly, helpful where requested, nice sense of humour. The staff clearly understands the terms "client friendliness"!! I can only give the Burgdorfs hotel my highest recommendation, our entire group was very satisfied with the stay."
