Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ottawa Airport

Reception said I was racist and kicked me out because I said **** in a non threatening way. Called the police too because I was racist even though that couldn’t be further from the truth. Asked to speak to a manager hoping to talk with someone more level headed. Nope he’s it:… I know there are videos of our interaction lol I would love to see it I would DIE if his boss did. As a traveller I’m allowed to be frustrated and mad. I’m allowed to curse. I wasn’t derogatory to him or even******** rude: Get better employees. I will never step foot here again.

Came in at 11:30 due to plane . Only two towels for three people, no Kleenex . A comforter on one bed . Meaning I duvet, and on the other bed there is next to nothing. It was like a small sheet and then a thin thin thing put in a duvet cover in so I froze. Just come here lots as I travel lots and this was the only time I can say it was not good .

Booked here specifically for proximity to the airport after my flight was cancelled. Also booked here specifically because of the airport shuttle. However, when it was time to leave for the airport I was told the shuttle was "snowed in". Oh well.

Coffee station was not restocked nor cleaned. Parking was almost impossible on first night.

1. Poor staff service: Waites for checkin for more than 20 mins just because there was no one at the front desk. 2. They don’t even have drinking water in the room.

I recently had the displeasure of staying at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites located at Ottawa Airport from the 6th to the 9th of October 2023. I am writing to express my profound disappointment and frustration with the quality of service we received during our stay. I had booked three rooms for a three-night stay. On the night of the 9th of October At approximately 10:30 pm, the fire alarm in one of our rooms (the middle room) started ringing loudly and it became evident that this was not a real fire situation,rather a malfunctioning alarm system or faulty batteries. We immediately contacted the reception to request assistance. To our dismay, the reception informed us that they only had two rooms available and were unable to resolve the issue promptly. Eventually, they relocated the guest from the middle room to one of the available rooms, but this did nothing to alleviate the situation for the guests in the two adjacent rooms. The fire alarm continued to ring incessantly throughout the night, making it impossible for anyone in those rooms to get any sleep. The following morning, we expressed our concerns to the manager on duty, who claimed that no one from the adjacent rooms had complained about the issue. This was completely untrue, as we had indeed raised our concerns with the manager during the night. The lack of action and accountability on the part of the hotel staff left us deeply unsatisfied and disrupted.

Staffs are nice. Just the area for breakfast is a bit small and hard to find seats during breakfast time. Very clean
