Al Baglio is a true gem. Situated close to the sea and the best restaurants in the piazza. It is clean, friendly and reasonably priced. It is family run and the staff are very helpful, friendly and accommdating to all requests. They arranged transport at reasonable prices to Palermo Centrale station and provided a magnificent breakfast each day. They even provided a laundry service free of charge. The rooms are large and comfotable as are the bathrooms. The aircon is quiet and efficient. We could not be happier.
We chose this hotel because it was close to the airport and we were arriving late. The staff are pleasant friendly and speak good English. Our room was basic and bare although clean. The balcony looked very shabby however, as did the grounds. (In saying this I accept it was off season, however they appeared to have been neglected for some time). The food was ‘cheap and cheerful’, the breakfast pretty uninspiring. The hotel was fairly quiet with what appeared to be a couple of large parties in, probably for a conference. In short, if you are looking for somewhere to stay close to the airport for a night it probably just about passes muster. Otherwise I would avoid.
