I’m very disappointed at the service. The receptionist was in a foul mood because she need to start working early, no one help me with the luggage and they don’t even provide water on arrival. the hotel has lots of stairs the location is near the city centre, but the area does not look very safe.

Andean Trails / Wilderness Explorers booked me into Hotel Palacios prior to my trip to Kabalebo. Shreenka at the front desk was the first welcoming, hospitable and friendly person I met. She was so welcoming I felt at home immediately. The other staff only added to the welcoming atmosphere. The hotel was in a perfect location - walking distance to the Fort, past the Presidential palace,thru narrow roads lined with old Dutch houses. It was also close to the Mosque / Synagogue & the shopping areas. And with a Bank with an ATM 2 buildings away. Breakfast was generous & good. The room was clean & well appointed, with a comfortable mattress & good pillows. Would definately stay there again ! All in all a great stay

Perfect and clean hotel. The staff are super amazing and multilingual. Laundry service for travelers that are staying on longer holiday. Excellent location to explore the city. Also the rooms are big with nice views. Highly recommended!

Hotel Palacio took great care of us during a stressful travel period. We were traveling from Georgetown Guyana (where my phone was stolen) to three different destinations on different travel schedules. Hotel Palacio helped us coordinate our travel (to and from the international and local airports) in taxis and busses. They made us feel safe and secure in a very comfortable and homey environment. And they take VISA. All things two American couples are looking for when they arrive in Paramaribo. I highly recommend staying here

We had a great experience in Hotel Palacio. Excellent location, charming neighborhoofd, helpful and very reliable staff, good breakfast, very clean and spacious rooms. Firm beds are not for everybody but we liked them. Fridge and coffee maker in the room.

Location and value are the name of the game and what can’t be beaten when it comes to the Hotel Palacio. Set right in the heart of historic old-town Paramaribo (a beautiful UNESCO site), I picked this hotel due primarily to its location, and it was perfect. Everything is within an easy walking distance. The street itself is not a major one, so traffic is minimal, and the only noise at night came from an occasional motorcycle, barking dog, or random people talking on the sidewalk out front. The rooms in the front and back of the hotel are the only ones with any view, and mine facing the front had minimal noise issues from the street. In addition to location, the staff of the hotel are excellent. I was amazed at how responsive they were via WhatsApp before my trip, answering my questions and helping me arrange airport transfers for a very late night arrival and departure. I was always warmly greeted when I came and went during my stay. My very late-night check-in and check-out literally took mere seconds. Though the rooms may not be 5-star deluxe, they have everything you need (including fridge, microwave, and safe), and felt clean. I will say they are an incredible value! I stayed four nights for the price of one night in a standard US chain hotel, so I feel like I really got a bargain for a decent room in a great location. In conclusion, Paramaribo is a beautiful and fascinating city, and the Hotel Palacio makes an excellent base (at a great value) for a visit to Suriname!

Great staff: they were helpful and accommodating. Hotel does not have a lot of aminities, but is in a great location - walking distance to a lot of places. I would recommend this place and definitely stay here again.

The Palacio is located in the heart of the UNESCO listed inner city of Paramaribo. We picked the hotel due to reviews and location, which were indeed good. But we were especially impressed with the service . Rochelle, Ariella and Barbara went above the call. In addition to Swift and efficient email replies on matters like transfers, they additionally helps us organise a surprise birthday for one of our group. It would not have been possible without them, and I’m sure it’s not in their job description. Our itinerary meant we checked in and checked out of the hotel multiple times, and they let us store our luggage securely which was a great help to avoid having to carry everything to everywhere we went in Suriname . Highly recommend the palacio.
