ザ オリジナルズ シティ オテル ラ ソレ ソーミュール ウエスト(The Originals City, Hôtel la Saulaie, Saumur Ouest (Inter-Hotel))

Good room, great location and a very good restaurant with a varied menu, plenty of wines and beers. There is a pool and lovely garden. The restaurant is situated next door. There is plentiful safe parking on site.

The hotel is extremely basic. Located on the outskirts of the town, I imagine their guests are mostly just passing through. Checkin was efficient but the room lacked air con and tea or coffee making facilities. The bathroom was good and the shower powerful. There is a swimming pool but not many loungers although I doubt many people use it. Breakfast is basic and only cold food was on offer bar coffee.

Parisian prices for this one. Quality ok but average, but prices relatively high. Photographs and descriptions of this hotel are very different from reality. This is a very noisy hotel when you have a room at the front. It’s located at an industrial area with loads of heavy traffic, also in the middle of the night. You can’t open windows because of the fumes, but you want to because the hotel is very hot. Parts of the hotel are also quite old. Don’t go here if you want atmosphere. It’s pretty good for those businesses trips where you just need a practical room. Good WiFi and free parking. Probably good tv, but as it was behind the bathroom door, we didn’t check it out. Avoid eating in the new restaurant next door if you can. Great staff, but poor quality food.

A pleasantly surprising stay in the Saumur/ Doué-la-Fontaine area of the Loire. This property while modern is a gem, we benefited from a comfortable clean and pleasant family room, with a window opening up onto their rear garden area. Woke up to birdsong and quiet , and a great breakfast in their large conservatory. Service excellent and helpful. Only point of note is if you wish to dine in their partner (next door) restaurant , best to reserve in advance , as it was fully booked (despite being almost empty!) at 630pm. But- more choice available in nearby Doué-la-Fontaine about 10 mins drive . Would thoroughly recommend this family run hotel as a stop-off on the long drive south from Calais, or for short excursions into the Saumur area.

Overall very enjoyable,disappointed there was nowhere to sit after 9pm, bar closed,reception desk was advertised as being open all day this wasn't the case.Lovely staff very friendly. The garden needs a lot of work

Good overnight stay

L'accueil est sympathique et les chambres sont confortables mais insuffisamment insonorisées, notamment lorsque l'hôtel accueille des groupes qui monopolisent les couloirs pour discuter alors que le personnel de l'hôtel n'est plus présent (à partir de 22 heures). Le petit déjeuner buffet est très bon mais, même remarque que précédemment la présence de groupe rend compliqué l'accès à la salle de restauration. Il manque du personnel pour assurer le nettoyage ,débarrasser les tables et réapprovisionner le buffet. C'est pour ces raisons que je ne mets que 3 étoiles. Le restaurant qui jouxte l'hôtel est très bien et d'un bon rapport qualité-prix.

Nous comptons revenir cette fois ci plus longtemps, hôtel très propre et personne très accueillants avec le sourire. Nous recommandons vivement !!

Chambre très sympa, manque un petit plateau avec café et thé 😉salle petit déjeuner très agréable !!
