View Talay Residence 1 located on Jomtien 2nd road near Kiss & Food. Was instructed through Agoda to contact owner via email (gerd01761@gmail.com) 30 minuets prior to arrival and someone would meet me at the residence. I contacted owner One hour AND 30 minuets prior to arrival (12 noon). Upon arrival no one was there. I tried calling provided number, no answer, I emailed again, no answer. After 30 min. of waiting I was escorted by security to an office area outside the building. There the staff looked frustrated and told me they owner has bad habit of standing “customers” up and not showing up. Young lady was able to get ahold of someone who told her 15 min., then when they did not show up we called again and they said 15 min. 2 ½ hours late someone showed up ill prepared for a tenant. Did not validate any Identification, no forms filled out for immigration for proof of residence, NOTHING! Room was full of appliances that did not work, NO wifi and a bathroom that leaked terribly. Finally someone did call me, THE MAID, if you want cleaning or new towels it would be and extra 500 B a day. Finally day prior to leaving the MAID called and said I had to be out by 9:00 am… ***! All in all not only not worth it but seeking refund through Agoda for false advertisement and leaser failing to follow guidelines as well as very poor to NO service validated by onsite staff. AND… I was asked to pay (by building maintenance staff) water and electricity for the month! *** 2! I advised them that they would have to take that up with the owner and had to show my Agoda rental agreement that I was paid in full. Full scam to try and pass his fees on to tenants.
