Posada Yolihuani

Enchanting, tranquil and beautifully kept visited for Dia de los Muertos. The property is gorgeous and owner occupied, the staff is incredible, courteous and every aspect of this stay was custom tailored to us. From help finding local restaurants, even advice on shipping some extra large souvenirs home I would give this 10 stars if I could. We travel a lot and I can say this is THE most secure and safest stay I have ever had. Balam served us breakfast every morning we wanted for nothing this whole stay, Eric the owner went out of his way daily to just make sure we had the full experience in this town…. Can not recommend this place more

I'm just back from 6 wonderful days at the Posada Yolihuani in Patzcuaro. The rooms, which are tastefully appointed with Michoacán crafts, front on two lush gardens. There are several outdoor tables for relaxing and Koi to admire in a little stream! The accommodations are lovely, but even more lovely is the family who run it.  Owners Eric and Vicky are very friendly and super helpful in setting up excursions and offering advice on where to eat or shop in town. I highly recommend Posada Yolihuani.

It was excellent very quiet the rooms well kept and decorated, great staff, excellent morning breakfast like three course , fresh juice , eggs and fruit. Enjoyable atmosphere with garden area a koi pond and would not hesitate to come back . Excellent location as well.

This is a wonderful place to stay in Patzcuaro. Eric and his staff are the perfect hosts and the hotel has absolutely the most comfortable beds and cozy comforters you will sleep in. Yolihuani is conveniently close to the main square, the Casa de Once Patios and many nice restaurants too. I can’t recommend Yolihuani enough!

This is a beautiful smaller hotel, close to the central square but far enough to be free of the noise, except, of course, during the numerous festivals. It is filled with interesting art. Balam, one of the managers, is very helpful and his Aunt Vicky, the owner, is a lovely lady full of knowledge about the surrounding areas and things to see, as she used to be a guide.

I stayed at the property 5 nights during Dia de los Muertos. Rarely do I feel like such a valued guest as every employee and owner went out of their way to ensure a fantastic stay. All treated us as if we were part of the family. Unique, spacious, clean rooms in a fantastic garden setting. The property was very well maintained. Truly a 10 and fantastic experience. Would recommend this property to anyone seeking a very good, authentic experience by people who care about their guests.

This lovely boutique hotel has the perfect recipe for a great stay. Eric and his staff were all incredibly helpful, from local food and entertainment recommendations (well - informed!) to perfectly crafted breakfasts, and a very secure feeling thanks to great security from the all-night staff. Would recommend to anyone who wants a moderately priced, laid-back experience with a great ambience, and walking distance to all the historic sites of the adorable town of Patzcuaro. Our Dia de Los Muertos experience was made complete with Posada Yolihuani!

The place is absolutely beautiful, with a very special charm. Vicki and Eric made us feel very special and welcome, more than we have at any other place we have stayed. Yolihuani is a bit of heaven in the centre of Patzcuaro, just a block away from the main plaza.

I recommend Yolihuani as a peaceful, beautiful setting in the perfect location. Walk ability is key in Patzcuaro. The host helped us to hire a driver in order to visit artisans in outlying areas. We saw beautiful copper, ceramica, masks and so much more.
