グルーポテル ニロ ＆ スパ(Grupotel Nilo & Spa)

Stayed here with friends for a few days in April and we were blown away by the wonderful staff who every single one exceeded in friendliness and smileyness. The hotel itself is very relaxed and definitely not one of those anonymous massive chain hotel. We got the impression from the interaction of guests and staff that they do have a lot of regular guests. Yes, most of them probably fall into the retired German category but there were also a number of young families. Guests will greet you with a friendly Good morning in German and many staff do speak a very good German too. The breakfast buffet and dinner buffet was extensive, fresh and very appealing. Drinks prices were very reasonable too so we often spend a few hours at the bar instead of going out. There was live music on two evenings as well. It's a short walk to the main street with shops, bars, restaurants and in April it was still fairly quiet. The beach was lovely sandy and the water extremely clean. I'd definitely recommend this hotel if you are after a relaxing laid back hotel and as mentioned the wonderful happy smiling staff made you feel extremely welcome and looked after

This hotel is really wonderful on all fronts. This is our 9th visit to The Nilo and we already can’t wait to go back again. The shoreline is set back from the Main Street and many rooms have sea glimpses. The staff are wonderfully warm and welcoming and Maty, Felicia and Cisco deserve a special mention. Breakfast is absolutely delicious and there was plenty of choose at dinner. The room was perfect and spotlessly clean and the housekeeping staff lovely. The pool area and spa are relaxing and beautifully kept by the team. Tomas the manager is friendly and makes you feel welcome so if you are visiting Peguera, this is a great hotel for couples, families and solo travellers.

The condition of the rooms is very tired and in need of an update, although clean and bathroom was of high standard. Daily cleaning of room could have included a mop or good sweep to take away sand. The walls are thin, kept awake by next room who were up all night having an early morning flight, with a lot of noise caused by beds which scrape along floor. This hotel finds itself between being an adult only and a family hotel and ends up not catering that well for either in terms facilties, with older adults at pool being continually annoyed by children and staff telling children they can't jump in pool or throw a ball. The pool is small and most of it too deep for none swimmers. All staff were very attentive and friendly at all times, they all worked very hard. The pancake lady was just lovely. The breakfast was varied and mostly good , although bought and used own butter as the butter provided was awful. Only tried evening meal once, it was very nice but a little expensive, especially when children from 12 have to pay for full price adult meal.

When first arriving we felt quite disappointed as we were shown to our flat across the road, with a view over the roof tops across the street. We had asked for a pool area view when we booked via ***********. This, of course, is not the hotel's fault that *********** was not clear about this. After having a chat with the management - and being offered to move to another hotel - we settled for what we had and did have a very good time. The beds were hard and not very comfortable and there is a lively bar just across the street with music and sing-song. However, all "noise" ended around mid-night and the balcony doors and shutters shut most of the noise out. The pool area (in the main hotel) was very nice with a nice cafe and reasonable prices. The staff were very friendly and hard working. There was plenty of food at breakfast and dinner but the quality was only average. There was also a (silly) rule that men had to wear long trousers for dinner - which meant that a pair of scruffy jeans would suffice. It is not the kind of place where such a requirement feels needed. There were entertainment put on most nights, which, if they were at your taste, were quite entertaining. The hotel is only a couple of minutes walk from the main street and the beach. So all in all; we had a nice stay.

I would definitely choose this hotel again.

Fabulous hotel, amazing breakfasts and wonderful swimming pool. We keep going back as we can’t think of anywhere we’d rather be, thank you for always making us feel so welcome! The Nilo is perfectly situated, close to the beach and the town and the rooms and the staff are lovely.

Great facilities didn’t want to leave we had a lovely room with sea views. Bed slightly hard but not a problem and air con perhaps could be a little more powerful but not really an issue. Loved everything about it.

Spotless room, very friendly and helpful staff, and massages to die for... I totally recommend Nilo&Spa for a family vacation. If the weather is not good for sunbathing on the beach, the spa area of the hotel provides a great alternative.

Good pool and spa, great breakfast buffet, clean room with sea view and friendly staff. Parking is a bit diffucult in the streets surrounding the hotel (paid), but there is public parking within 5 minutes walking distance. Lots of shops and restaurants in the area, as well as the beach (bust though).
