ピワカ ロッジ アンド バックパッカーズ(Piwaka Lodge and Backpackers)

Such a lovely, hospitable, hostel. Had all the amenities I needed - and there was even a sink in the room I stayed in. It’s literally a 5 min walk to the beach as well, and is super convenient to get to especially if you are taking the Ferries or the bus into / out of Picton. Thank you for the hospitality! ❤️

クイーンシャーロットトラックを行う前に、ピワカロッジに一晩滞在しました。宿泊施設の場所は素晴らしかったが、それ以外は滞在に失望した。到着すると、宣伝されている「エンスイート」バスルームが別の部屋と共有されていることがわかりました。その後、私たちの部屋の鍵がないことがわかりました。どうやら前のゲストが鍵を持っていったようです。その結果、施設を共有していた別の部屋に移動する必要がありました。プロパティはかなり使い古されており、プロパティの清潔さもあまり良くなかったため、全体的なアップグレードが必要です。

Great value. Very close to Ferry Terminal and shops and restaurants. Great friendly service, yum fresh free breakfast. The rooms, ammenities and beds were clean, tidy and comfortable. Highly recommend. Would definitely go back and stay here

Right from the time I booked over the ph to the time I left Nicci the on-site owner was supper helpful and friendly, I arrived early because of my flight so she stored my bag and the cleaners got my room ready asap While they were doing that Nicci told me to help myself to the complementary breakfast that she puts on every morning of cereal peaches toast and spreads. I had a double room with a onsuite that shared with the neighboring room you just locked their door when you used it and unlocked when you left it was a huge shower room. My room had a king size bed T.V mini fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. Piwaka is in a great location at the top of the main st so you are surrounded by cafes shops and there is a great 4 square 2 min walk away...the waterfront is only a 5 min stroll.....I was off to outward bound and Nicci has offered to drop me off with my huge bag she was so helpful,Nicci also booked a day trip for me on the mail boat...a catamaran that delivers the mail through out the Queen Charlotte Sounds ....value for money...4hr boat cruise with amazing info on the sounds we delivered mail and goods to all the resorts and home owners I abslouty loved it!! Pikawa backpackers had every thing to make there guests feel at home games books a comunial lounge and TV comunial kitchen and fridges I even found wine glasses....all in all the price is amazing for what you get and it was great to know as a solo female traveler that Nicci lives here on site..... I had a great stay at Piwaka ( actually, 2 different stays). Lodge is great located, in the middle of Picton with everything handy. It has 2 kitchens, so plenty of space for your cookings. Breakfast is included, rooms are simple but comfortable and clean ( loved that the dorm rooms have a basin, really handy). And Nicci the owner is just amazing, helped me with tips and sorting my transfer to Queen Charlotte Track. Would definitely go back! Luciana

We been there on 30th-31st Dec 2021. The family room was horrible. Not up to our expectations which we find from the image provided on the website. I realize how different it is from image and reality. I was shocked but just for one night so I manage it by spending most of the time outside with my family. Positive note The owner of the property is very nice. She has a homely welcome attitude. She allowed us to keep our luggage for a reasonable time after checkout. Help us in making breakfast as well. The location is good. You can have 2 supermarkets within 200 meters and also one Indian restaurant.

Just needed a cheap bed for the night, but at Piwaka found this with bells on! Double room with ensuite, everything immaculately clean. Bed super comfy. Free breakfast and plenty of places to socialise. Nicci put on free venison and bubbles for New Years. Also free brekkie. Will definitely come back

Was expecting a room with shower turned out there were only 4 communal shower/toilet combined for up to 52 people. Included continental breakfast was good though. There are only 5 onsite carparks although you can park on the roadside.

We arrived after midnight and still got an incredibly warm welcome. Superb room, really clean and comfortable and super friendly staff. Highly recommend.
