I gave it 5 stars with price considered. I stay in hotels 300+ nights a year, so I can honestly say that this place was a grand slam! The rooms are spacious with kitchenette, full size fridge/freezer, amazing beds, large Tv's with LARGE selection of channels, room even has a full size closet with a laundry basket. The laundry is free (ignore the quarter slots, just pretend they are in there). Machines have seen lots of use, but the price is right. There is also a fitness room with treadmills, an excer-cycle, and free weights. Rooms and entire facility is very clean. The kitchenette includes the basics like plates, bowls, silverware + more.... This is where they start going over the top..... Also a measuring cup in the room, A GARBAGE DISPOSAL, AND A DISHWASHER!!!!! Under the sink, you get a scrub brush, paper towels, dish soap, and dishwasher detergent!!!! THERES MORE... They have ”Lending Lockers”, where you can ”borrow things” free of charge. Things like Crock Pots, umbrellas, puzzles, board games, etc.... And behind the counter they have a selection of books you can also borrow. There is a full selection of things you can buy, should you need them..... Laundry soap, beverages, frozen dinners, soups, dressings, ice creams, and on and on.... There is also an outside gazebo area with two gas BBQ's A computer with printer is available for use in the lobby. They do place a hold on funds of $50 ( or will take $100 cash), but you get that back, and we'll worth all the amenities they provide. Parking lot is kinda small, but whatever. There is more available than what I typed. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!
Not impressed with this location at all. Check in took about 30 minutes. I am a Hilton Honor member and was able to secure my room ahead of time. I just had to wait on my electronic key, which never came. I was told it was a computer issue from the front desk. I was told that my room wasn’t ready and then was told it was. We get to the room and it seemed occupied. Socks on the bed, iPhone charger still plugged in and the room wasn’t clean. I’ll bet an employee was using the room. Faucet on the sink and bathtub had issues. Never was told when breakfast was served and what was served was not good at all. Eggs had a funky twang to them and a little gritty. The muffins glued my mouth shut because they were so dry. WiFi is free but if you want to stream it will cost you extra. More than likely we will not darken the doorstep of this hotel again.
I originally selected a room and was given something different without any explanation. When I did inquire about it the staff member was very nonchalant.
Had paid $14 extra for parking and all the parking was the same. Never said anything about paid parking and a $50 deposit. I wish all this was put in writing up front. So when I paid for the room, plus parking, and a extra deposit in ONE transaction.
The room was great, wonderful view, bed/bedding was comfortable, shower was amazing.
Customer service in the morning wasn't all that great.
Very clean hotel. I love that they clean every day. The guy at the front desk was helpful and responsive every time I needed him. But there is NO parking. The room was small compared to others I’ve stayed in. The bathroom was very tiny. The door was almost hitting the toilet when I opened it. No stream play on the TV from your phone even though all newer hotels have them. Since I was here on business I tried to save money and eat in every day. Difficult kitchen to cook in. They don’t have a countertop stove so they give you a single hot plate. Pots and pans are smaller but wasn’t a problem since I was eating for one. I travel alot for work so I’ve stayed in many suites. A suite to me is more of something you can fully live out of for a short period of time. Typically it is a small kitchenette but it has at least a small 2 burner counter top stove and a small oven. This one had neither which I believe most home2suites don’t anyways. But the parking situation is what brought it down so far for me. A lot of construction going on but there’s a Marriott right behind it with a much bigger parking area. I had to park across the street every day. But the gentleman at the front desk was great!

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Dallas Plano West
Called the hotel early morning to request the room be on the 1st floor due to my mother having mobility issues, was not honored. No problem, please place the room close to the elevator, still not accommodated. Was placed 1 room away from the end of the hall. I enter the room and am greeted with a mildew smell. RED FLAG as I have sinus issues. The bathroom is where the odor is coming from. Then above the bed is a poorly repaired hole where there was clear water damage (see picture) ALL Home2 Suites provides a curtain devising the bed from the living space. The room I was assigned did not have one and the front desk said I would need to wait for housekeeping to get the curtain. (see picture) The room's smoke sensor had electrical tape on it. Appears a guest wanted to cover the light that flashes indicating the sensor is connected to the power source. Housekeeping apparently doesn't look around the room (see picture) I immediately made a new reservation with a Marriott property that allowed me to check in the early morning, (7 AM) so I could get out of this poorly maintained hotel.
I am a 65 yr old disabled US Veteran with a DISABLED Sign/Placard that hangs from my car Rearview Mirror. My car had been parked in the same hotel parking spot for 2 Weeks. The Parking Space is directly in front of the WINDOW of the STAFF office. THEY had seen the Disabled Placard before. They knew it was mine. They knew. Yet, without calling my room/phone to ask me, hotel staff called police @ 1:30 AM to ticket my car because the DISABLED PLACARD fell from the mirror. During my stay as an AMBASSADOR LEVEL member, they also put a room full of loud, crazy-sounding Druggies high as kites next to me. This sort of things continued throughout my stay. The Front Desk Staff are, for the most part, unfriendly and if they decide they don't like you, actively unfriendly. As a group, they were unfriendly with animus directed toward certain groups of guests. The breakfasts are horrible: the meats (sausages) appear to be either bad by selection and/or overcooked (burned and dried out) to make them worse. The breakfast is basically the same, day after day, and the kitchen staff are also unfriendly. The maid who serviced my room was nice.
When you check in to MOST hotels, you will receive an AUTHORIZATION to the card you use upon check-in for the room rate + taxes + incidental hold (in case of damages, market charges) At THIS LOCATION, they will CHARGE your card the FULL AMOUNT (room rate + taxes + incidentals) at check-in which means they take the FULL AMOUNT and then refund any additional money they took at check-out. While at this property, I experienced a security breach INVOLVING a hotel staff member and decided to cut my stay short and move to a competitor's hotel. Upon check-out, what should have been a simple refund led to ADDITIONAL CHARGES, draining my checking account. The front desk clerk explained she refunded the additional charges, which does reflect on my folio, but the issue is, the money is still not in my account until their financial institution and my financial institution reflect the refund and decide to refund the money WHICH CAN take 5 to 10 business days, leaving me with NO FUNDS! There is NO COMPENSATION OFFERED by the hotel for the hotel DOUBLE CHARGING you. All you receive from the hotel that MADE the mistake is, ”It was a mistake and it is refunded” How would you feel if a BUSINESS or SOMEONE took additional money from you, causing you to have NO FUND AVAILABLE until the 'banks” release the funds which can take DAYS? NO ONE would appreciate the inconvenience but NO ONE wants to offer any form of compensation for THE INCONVENIENCE.
