I very rarely feel inclined to leave reviews but I felt like I had to with this hotel! We are currently on our last day of a 7 day holiday and I honestly can not say a bad word about this place. The hotel is beautiful in every aspect and every single member of staff is so welcoming and happy and they can not do enough for you! I celebrated my 30th birthday here and they even had a cake and candles waiting in our room for me. The spa is out of this world and the treatments are amazing, I would highly recommend the massages and facials! The location is perfect and there are so many bars and restaurants right on your doorstep with Chania centre only about 20 mins away in a taxi. We never go back to the same place twice as there is so much of the world to see but we 100% will be returning here in the future! Thank you to the hotel and all the staff for making our holiday and my birthday so perfect!

We have just returned from this beautiful hotel. Everything about our stay was excellent. The staff are first class and all work very hard. Our pool view room (215) was very clean with maid service daily. We will certainly return, the sooner the better.

Unfortunately as nice as this hotel is, it has a major flaw... Cold pools! I love swimming but couldn't swim at all during my 10 day visit. Even the pool in the spa is cold and the only jacuzzi set very low temperature. Apart from that the hotel across the road from the beach which is stoney. Crete is beautiful and food in surrounding restaurants is great but if you like swimming or have kids, go to other hotels. There are sound nice 4 stars on the beach side of the road.

A wonderful hotel deserving of it's 5 star rating with excellent service by their lovely attentive staff. A good selection of very tasty dishes both at breakfast and dinner. Spacious rooms and very comfortable beds and pillows. We stayed in the Imperial Wing with our own private pool which unfortunately because it was October was quite cool. But a cold shower before the pool was sufficient to still enjoy it. Nice touches from the hotel, wine in the room on arrival, a complimentary cocktail, a discount food and soft drink voucher, chocolate on the bed every evening and a goodbye gift of local tea. Plenty of sun loungers both on the beach around the pool and garden areas. Everywhere was beautifully maintained.

Visited Minoa Palace for a week in the end of April. Our room was located in the Imperial part of the hotel. + *service is excellent in all parts of the hotel and they go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. *Large room with comfortable bed, minibar, bathtub, shower and balcony. *fantastic breakfast with something for everyone *clean and well maintained The only negative thing was that the air conditioner in the hotel was set to heating this time of year which made the rooms very warm during the night, from what I heard this was going to be changed the same say we left. Platanias itself might not be my dream vacation spot but Minoa Palace would make it worth going back. Thanks for a relaxing week!

Amazing, fabulous, mind blowing and just perfect. From the unbelievably wonderfully attentive staff, the hugely talented chefs to the hotel position and landscape. There is a private beach, terraced sunbathing and sunbed waiter service, no matter where your sunbed is.

Not a real 5 star product. Nice: - imperial rooms, bathroom and furniture - beach area at imperial side. Not nice: Lacks real 5 star atmosphere in public areas and restaurants. Many design elements are not nice. The rooms lacks a proper desk light, if you need to check your laptop or write something. Lights in ceiling restaurant partly broken Restaurants are like staff restaurants, they lack 5 star style and decoration. Wine is of 5 star price level, very small glass of basic wine for 5 euro. Most are 7 euro. Bottles far too expensive for a not so nice restaurant. The buffet food is very simple and plain. It is not a 5 star level. The desert corner is better. Breakfast: many types of bread but not one of really nice quality’s. The egg station staff couldn’t prepare a proper fried egg. I would go next time I would book a room in the main building across the street, the rooms are better value. The imperial rooms don’t add real value, especially out of the season, when the diner is in the main building and the reception too. You can easily cross the street via the hotel bridge. Happy we booked only for 1 night.
