Overall our experience is ok but there’s definitely some pros and cons. We are 2 adults and 2 young kids(under 4 years old) and they did not have crib but they did put us in 2 beds so we made it work. The entrance is not really convenient for people who has younger kids because you have to go into the beach to enter the hotel. We had to fold our stroller everytime we go in and out of the hotel. For breakfast that’s free, the morning server told us ‘milk cost extra’ for our kids to drink so I ask about juice so he asked his manager and finally gave the kids juice. Once we tipped him, his service was much better afterwards. The beach in the front of the hotel is super rocky!! Definitely not suitable for swimming which we did not know and you have to walk about 3 mins to the beach where there are no rocks. Nice location and price if you are looking to be in center of the town and beach front. But not so good if you are looking for a beach to swim and have young kids.

Place is infested with cockroaches in the room and outside, found bugs in our bed, no refund policy won't let you see the room before paying. Door wouldn't lock, window broken. Poor quality everything. Room was disgusting. Best to stay away.

Location its good, but the hotel entrance was always flood it so you most remove your shoes to get inside the property. The pictures of the property DO NOT MATCH the reality. really old furniture, TV works very limited. I like the breakfast included with the price. Lobby or just a room at the entrance works until 10pm after that the security. guard take care of you. I cannot said that the hotel is bad but is far from the pictures.

My favorite beach club in Playa! Every week, i enjoy a book and the beach :-). The best service and good vibes. Charly and Pablo take good care of their guests The chairs are comfortable and the beach , clean of sargasso Looking forward to the new menu!

Great little friendly hotel on the beach. Included breakfast was a good deal. We had a 2 bed room which was spacious. However, a bath mat was sadly lacking. We also had a coffee machine but there was no coffee or cups. We got to know the staff and certain ones gave us great service. Beachfront was a bonus and we were lucky to get one seaweed free day.

Just spent six nights at Playa Maya. Great location, close to everything you need. Beds are comfortable, everything is clean, AC works great, pretty quiet at night. It is a great place if you're just looking for a hotel. They provide shower gel and soap, towels and beach towels, and dish soap, no shampoo or conditioner. Massages were fabulous at this hotel! Breakfast was good, you have a choice of several different styles of eggs with ham, chorizo, sausage or vegetables and fresh fruit or juice and coffee. Breakfast gets a little busy at 8am but the waiters work their butts off to accommodate everyone. Food and drinks were all good throughout the day. They have daily drink and food specials. They do add a tip to your bill, we didn't know this so the first day they got very good tips. Beach is nice but has big rocks in the water you have to feel for. If the water is rough it will uncover the rocks so you can see where they are. Seaweed is bad right now, obviously not the hotels fault. Everyone was very nice and accommodating and security was always outside the hotel at night. We will come back to this hotel!
