ホテル ル ショワズール(Le Choiseul)

This is a lovely little hotel very close to the main area of Amboise. The room was lovely and comfortable. I had a river view. The bathroom was spacious. I had dinner in the restaurant and it was very good - great food and excellent service. The negative is no elevator and not much help with luggage up and down the stairs. I heard later they are going to close and combine with the hotel next door for a larger spa type hotel. It is a great area and lovely hotel.

A beautiful hotel,my partner brought me to this hotel for a birthday treat, The hotel is beautifully restored The rooms are stunning With beautiful furniture The staff gave amazing service We intend to visit in the summer and again at Christmas time The hotel is so close to the village/ town centre, The hotels bar and restaurant is beautiful and staffed by lovely attentive staff The menu was lovely. Can't wait to re visit .

Hôtel très bien situé au pied du château d'Amboise ( 5 minutes à pied) grande chambre , lit king size , coin salon par contre la sdb est petite ( 1 personne) avec une douche dans la baignoire pas facile d'accès ( d'ou mon avis mitigé) l'ensemble aurait besoin d'un rafraichissement et se serait un superbe endroit .Personnel au top

Notre séjour au CHOISEUL a été en tous points à la hauteur de nos espérances, au niveau de notre chambre comme au niveau du restaurant. Nous remercions vivement toutes les personnes qui nous ont accueillis et, par leur prévenance, contribué à la réussite de notre we.

Unexpected pleasure on the bank of the Loire. We looked for a place overnight with the possibility to eat well. Well, we found ‘Le Choiseul” in Amboise. Wonderful location and beautiful estate. Excellent dinner and great value for moneyWe got a very nice room where we and our two French buldogs were very comfortable. Access to the garden from our room. Dinner as well as breakfast were excellent. Absolutely worthwhile to come back to. `

Dans un cadre élégant, un hôtel confortable, calme et bien situé. Vue à la fois sur la Loire et sur le château, réception et personnel d'étage aimables et attentifs, très beau petit déjeuner, restauration de haut niveau à la fois fine et goûteuse, cave assortie qui propose en particulier un bel échantillon de vins locaux et service en salle impeccable font du Choiseul une adresse à recommander.

Enjoyed this place. It was old and I really liked that. If you want a modern, "American style" hotel, this is not it. The chateaux feel. Really appreciated the helpful information and hospitality provided by Stephan. Our room, on the top floor, has a high ceiling, with a unique wood structure. It's across the street from the Loire River, and a close walk to the center of Amboise.

Excellent choice for Amboise. Rooms large and comfortable. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Dinner and wine were superb. The Grand Marnier souffle was outstanding. Enjoyed our stay and would return to Le Choiseul.

Nous croyions avoir réservé un hôtel 4 étoiles, malheureusement, ce ne fut pas le cas. Les meubles de notre chambre étaient élimés (voir photos), la salle de bain était à rénover. Nous avions réservé deux chambres avec terrasses, une était envahie par une haie de cèdres et l’autre, au 2e étage n’était pas très invitante (voir photos). De plus, une surprise nous attendait à la piscine vers 16h00 : deux rats morts flottant sur l’eau (voir photos). Inutile de dire que nous avons évité la piscine. En fait, ce fait reflète le manque flagrant d’entretien de l’hôtel et ce, à tous les niveaux.
