ホポサ アパルタメントス モンテリン(Hoposa Montelin)

We stayed there for a week, 2 adults and 2 small kids. When we arrived to the hotel and came to the room, it was obvious that they didn’t clean after the previous visitors, they hardly managed to change linens. But a dirty room was nothing compared to a smell - it was a homeless cat vomiting on our terrace. There are a lot of cats on the hotel territory and cats food everywhere, so a cat met us with vomiting under our door. When it’s plus 39 degrees outside the situation needs to be solved asap. My husband tried to clean and I run to the reception. The only response from a girl on a reception was: “So what do you want from me?”. (Please teach you staff a phrase: “How can I help you”) They promised to send a cleaning lady but nothing happened. We cleaned by ourselves with that things that we had. So if you choose this hotel, don’t forget some cleaning products 🧼 😉 We stayed in a room with 1 big bed, a baby crib and 1 single bed for our son, but it was too high for him, plus all beds are on wheels that makes them very unstable. A baby crib was very dirty, so we ended up sleeping all 4 in a 1 big bad, that in fact consisted of 2 running apart beds on wheels. Apart of beds, a dining area is also totally uncomfortable for children due to high bar chairs. Among good stuff: a cozy green area with a small swimming pool.

Fabulous weeks stay in the Montelin Apar**ents, so peaceful and quiet but still has all the amenities which are accessible to the adjoining main hotel the Villachoncha which is just a short walk across the road. Breakfast was in the main hotel lots of choice plenty of food and places to sit. We had taking bikes out so we used the bike room which provided everything we needed. We also swam in the 25m heated pool which was great for a proper swim session. We ate one evening in the main hotel which was a BBQ night we felt this was good value for money at €26 with a free bottle of wine all the food was super tasty. The staff were fabulous especially on reception super helpful with details of where to cycle and booking the spa etc. The apar**ents have everything you need lots of space and nice little kitchenette, we were in room 201 which was in a perfect position and had the sun on the balcony all day. Would highly recommend and would stay here again whether travelling for a family break or to go do some training as in cycling swimming this hotel offers it’s all.

Overall an excellent experience at the Montelin Apar**ents with friendly and helpful staff. We will certainly return at a future date. Our only gripe was the level of tourist tax since we were charged 4 euros per night each + VAT at 10% i.e. 4.4 euros total. This, according to web sources should only be charged for 5 star hotels in Majorca which the Montelin is not. Could the management comment on this i.e. were we overcharged? In comparison this year we also visited Madeira which has no tourist tax and Chamonix, usually considered an up market and expensive alpine resort where we were only charged 2.3 euros pppn for a 4 star hotel. Of course the charges are not levelled by the hotel but by the local goverment but it does provide an indicator that Majorca is becoming more expensive. We spoke to several regular visitors to Puerto Pollensa during our stay who complained about the significant increase in prices in local restaurants this year.

This was our fourth stay with the Hoposa family at Villa Concha/Montelin and yet again it was superb. We arrived early and our luggage looked after whilst we went for lunch at Cafe 1919. On return we went to our apar**ent which we had requested and as always it was immaculate. Our cleaner was lovely and we spoke each day and learned about her and her family. The laned pool was quiet and we were able to undertake our swim sessions almost in private. Every day the Manager inspected the property and spoke to us and all staff were super friendly and helpful. It really is our little piece of paradise and we are back in April 2024 for another visit.

We extended our holiday and moved over the road from the main hotel, both are fantastic, but for us, this suited us better as we havd a 9 month old baby. The receptionist who booked our room is the loveliest lady you could ever wish to meet, unfortunately I didn't get her name, but I can only presume she's the reception manager, anyway she made sure we were on the ground floor and it made our stay perfect. We loved everything about this hotel and will definitely be returning next year. Thank you Hoposa, we have some wonderful memories 👌🏼

This was the perfect location for a summer holiday break for my son and me. We loved the tranquility of the separate block of Montelin apar**ents including its own pool while still having access to all the facilities of the main hotel and the location was perfect for the beach. Studio apar**ent was clean and well-equipped, staff were friendly and helpful and food was delicious (we stayed half board).

Our 3rd time staying in the Hoposa chain here in Puerto Pollensa. We’ve enjoyed the Uyal, Villa Concha and this time we’re at Montelin. They’ve all been fantastic in their own way but the Montelin with the advantage of sharing all the facilities of Villa Concha, is for us, just wonderful. The apar**ent has everything you need for a quiet self catering holiday and the bike garage is superb. We loved coming back to the gorgeous gardens and pool after a days cycling - bliss! We leave tomorrow and a week hasn’t been long enough, so we’re already looking to return asap. Special thanks to all the staff, who make the Montelin such a great place.

Photos of the Montelin apar**ents are carefully chosen to focus on two buildings with apar**ents full of light, all overlooking the garden and pool. What these photos do NOT show clearly are the 4 apar**ents crammed into the corner between the buildings. Nos 107 & 108 on the ground floor are dark and gloomy. On the first floor nos 207 & 208 are only slightly less gloomy, look out onto the side of the building and instead of the spacious balcony seen in the photos, only have a small narrow balcony, scarcely large enough to sit out on. It's absolutely no use contacting the hotel to find out which apar**ents are available for specific dates. Staff claim to be unable to give out any information on the ludicrous pretence that apar**ents are not allocated until the day of arrival! The Montelin management should be upfront about these inferior apar**ents and offer them at a lower rate. If on arrival you find yourself stuck in one of them, you'll have paid the same as all the people around you in those sunny apar**ents with a view of the pool.

For a group of cyclists staying in the Montelin apar**ents for a few days, the hotel complex was excellent, in a super location. Apar**ents - spacious and handy to have a microwave, fridge and tea/coffee making available. They were cleaned daily and as with the rest of the hotel and pools, everything was always spotless. Facilities - secure bike storage available along with a bike shop and mechanic. In the main part of the hotel you have access to a larger pool and a separate 25m pool for training there is also a well equipped gym. Restaurant - Breakfast, a well managed buffet bar with fresh food, including a station making fresh omelettes and pancakes. We had lunch on the last day, great portions of freshly prepared food at a reasonable price. Staff - From the moment we arrived, all the staff were very helpful and welcoming and in particular Blas who worked at the bar/restaurant. We will certainly be back!
