We were recommended to go to Hilias by some friends who have stayed with Hilas & family a few times previously and I can safely say it was a GREAT recommdation and I certainly would also recommend a stay there It's located in a quiet area at the South side of Palolem but 2 minutes walk from the beach We have stayed ***y times in beach huts at both Patnem and Agonda but our now aged bones needed a tad more luxury and Hilias provide that extra bit but at a reasonable cost 👍🙏

The most familiar place to stay in whole Palolem. I am amazed about the hospitality the owners give to the guests. Me and my GF has travelled a lot in the years, and im also travelling a lot at work. So by that, im saying that i have my de***ds at a hotel. And Hilias Retreat has it all! Nice rooms. Excellence cleaning. Big refridgerator with water filled up every day of cleaning. Adorable owners by Mr. Hilias and his wife. Nothing is a problem, they will do anything to make you feel good at your stay. 1,5 min to the beach. Silent at night. And the two wonderful pugs, Macho and Puglin that also will give you a warm welcome! We have already made a reservation for 4 weeks in february 2025, cant find a better place to stay! Top on my list for why to stay at Hilias Retreat is Hilias who owns this gem of a hotel only about 2-3 minutes walk to the beach where you will find ***y restaurants with a view. Hilias has had a very interesting life and you will enjoy talking with him. Also, he will be certain that everything will go smoothly during your stay. I stayed here for five problem-free nights. The wifi was reliable and strong and the very clean room is comfortable with everything that you may need available including a cold well stocked refrigerator. In particular, it was nice to have a balcony to not only sit on but also to dry clothes. The hotel is secure and there is always someone in the reception area. He will also arrange a ride to your next location at a reasonable price. Very highly recommended and I look forward to returning soon.

The friendly atmosphere and comfortable rooms completed the magic you can feel in Goa. Great people, so friendly, welcoming and helpful. Great location, close to the beach a minute walk away. I highly recommend this hotel, it's just a quiet, relaxing place. Rooms very clean equipped with fridge, kettle, air conditioning with lovely balconies. I hope to return there again. During our 15-night stay at Hilias Retreat, we enjoyed its convenient location, situated amidst the action and just a short stroll from the beach. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, with regular cleaning by the attentive staff. Parking space is available for those with a car or scooter. It's worth noting that our unit, located next to the reception, experienced occasional noise from guests checking in and engaging in lively conversations with the welcoming hosts. Also, they only take cash on arrival, no card fascilities. And there is no self catering fascilities.

Such a gem, a lovely little find, the owners are soooooo accommodating and friendly. The room was equipped with a fridge which was a bonus, they fill it with bottles of water and charge the regular rate of R20 a bottle if you use it. Saves you lugging water back from the shops which is the same price anyway. The owner even lent me a hairdryer and kettle for the 6 days which was so appreciated, as it’s not always common practice to have them in the rooms, unless you’re in the higher class hotels. The room was spotlessly clean and they clean it every few days and change the bedding too. The beach is about 50-100 yards directly across from the rooms, the room has a balcony overlooking the garden, which was perfect for me as a backpacker to do a little washing, it was dry within a few hours hung over the wall. Bed was a little on the hard side but was fine, there were plenty of sockets, plus air con and a ceiling fan. Although the weather was very hot, I never used the aircon, I found the fan was sufficient for me. On the odd occasion the electricity does go off but not for long. There’s also free WiFi and walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay there again, perfect spot.

We stayed at Hilias Retreat at the end of April or the beginning of May and chose the hotel based on the reviews. When we arrived and looked around, we were glad we chose Hilias Retreat among all others! By all accounts, it seems like one of the best options in Palolem. The house is really a 3-minute relaxed walk from the beach and that is optimal. On the one hand, the house is very close to the sea, on the other hand, the place is quiet, you won't hear the sounds and music from the ***y shekels on the beach. It is also very fortunate that the house is deep from the small street in front of him paved with a tile yard. Therefore, from the balcony is visible not so much the street as the palm trees and blooming bushes that this yard planted. Most importantly, the house is very clean, which in general is not typical for India. And the house itself looks neat, and the rooms are clean and the yard. The rooms have everything you need, the bed is comfortable and wide, a nice balcony, it was great to sit there early in the morning with a cup of tea, listen to the sound of the sea, look at the geckos climbing up the palm trees, eagles soaring in the sky and listen to the voices of a variety of birds, which we did not recognize. Bed linen and towels were high quality and clean, internet access was fast and without interruptions, the hot water storage was sufficient for the needs of two people, air conditioning, fan, refrigerator, kettle - in general there was everything we needed and everything worked without problems. The hosts are a very nice, English-speaking family. Smiling and friendly, instantly responded to all requests, organized airport transfers for us, and bought and brought us drinking water. They are nice and delicate, did not impose their communication, but were always open to conversation and happy to chat. In general, the feeling that we were visiting good friends arose quickly. Now we remember them with pleasure and gratitude. Also attention!!! We have to be extremely careful not to fall head over heels in love with their two pugs (we couldn't and now remember their smiling faces all the time)! We were not warned of this danger, and it is very real! Serious and full of dignity, Macho and the incredibly affectionate Puglin instantly get into your soul! Gentle, charming Puglin has always rushed out to greet us, smiling all the way up to her ears and wriggling her entire little black body. Now her little face is in front of our eyes and we miss her very much! In general, we were very well and comfortable, the rest will remain in memory. Without any doubt we recommend it! Lovely place, close to the beach and shops. The room is basic and spacoius. Several plugs. Defenitely a plus with air con and fan, warm water and a fridge. Bed was comfortable. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful. Would defenitely come back.

A lovely little guest house, clean, safe, amazing hosts and the cutest dogs!
