We were so looking forward to a 3 night stay at the mansion, including breakfast. The area was lovely and the surrounding so peaceful and so very French, which we loved. We had a room on the 4th floor which being over 21 was not an easy task carrying all our luggage ( no lift of course) The staff were very friendly and helpful. On a disappointing note , the room was very tired , it had staples holding some of the wall Paper up , the fan was broken and was taped together, the window was cracked in the bathroom and panels hanging off the bath, and generally could do with being looked after , which was a shame. Breakfast was fine, did not eat at the hotel , but the town was lovely and so were many surrounding villages . We enjoyed it but it could do with a little TLC.
