The Meridien was a very comfortable stay, great location and a really sizeable room. The amenity was also excellent, great pool, laundry facilities and a full kitchen setup. The apartment was great and airy, directly overlooking the pool. Points lost for the bed in 9b as it was far too soft, definitely not a hotel quality bed I believe. Very lumpy and soft, a few nights of medium quality sleep weren’t ideal but the quality of the room and facility was great. Location was ideal, walking distance to the beach and the main ***** for hotels etc and easy access to the marina!

We were allocated this hotel as part of a holiday package; we didn’t chose it. It really is an apartment rather than a hotel and was a little basic for our wants. However we were comfortable and it was adequate. The room was fine. The bed was comfortable and the facilities in the room were fine. There was a reasonable pool but no other facilities in the building, like a bar or staff to help. The best thing about the place was it’s location, close to the beach, the marina and all the shops and restaurants. It had great aircon which was much needed in the tropical climate.

We spent 5 nights at the Meridian in a one bedroom apartment and loved every minute of it. The room was huge with a lovely balcony overlooking the pool and my favourite time to swim was just before it closed at 9pm. Wonderful place and will be back.

Wonderful - both the apartments and the staff. We arrived very late from a long day traveling, and while reception was closed, the instructions on where to find the key and the room were perfect, along with a welcome note. We had a very early trip planned, so it wasn’t until day 3 that we met the reception staff - very friendly and helpful, reconfirming our trips and pickup for departure times without us having to ask, and then telling us about local places to visit and eat. The apartment was large and well presented, the pool is fabulous- there are laundry facilities, with power provided - perfect for us after three weeks traveling. Port Douglas is a great place to visit. Finally a call out to the manager who was called out of bed at 04:00 in the morning to tell us our taxi was delayed - and coped with two worried passengers that thought that they would miss their plane - a big thank you

Great spot for couples. Very quiet resort ( perhaps too quiet?) everything clean & comfortable. Most comfy hotel bed I’ve ever slept in! We had 2 rooms booked, both standard rooms, although 1 was slightly larger 14B & upstairs overlooking the main road, with a large walk in shower, whilst the other was smaller and 10b ( I think) with had a spa bath, overlooking the pool. The pool access rooms would have been a nice upgrade though! Staff very friendly. Great location, within easy walking distance to beach , supermarket, restaurants & marina . Plenty of parking.

Absolutely lovely place to stay in Port Douglas, only a short walk to main shops, cafes and restaurants and a short walk across the road to 4 mile Beach. I had the bottom unit which was swim out, and it's definitely worth paying a little extra for. Pool was quite warm, but not surprising for this time of the year. Beds were very comfortable and clean rooms. Staff were excellent and helpful, would definitely stay here again.

This was our second stay here and it doesn’t disappoint. It’s peaceful, relaxing and the apartments are modern, minimalist and the decor is lovely. The staff are all lovely and helpful.The pool is just the right size with sun beds and a barbecue area. Close to all the local shops and bars but not on top of them so as to be disturbed by the noise.

Brilliant motel, very well situated for the shops, bars and cafes in Port Douglas. Our room was spotlessly clean with a comfy bed and spacious shower room. Well equipped with kettle, toaster, microwave and tea/coffee/milk provided on arrival. The laundry facilities are excellent and we were able to do our washing quite easily. We had a room with a swim deck and a large balcony. It was lovely to sit and eat breakfast listening to the birdsong. Amanda is such a lovely lady. She was really friendly and on hand to assist us with pick up times for our trips and transfer coach. Would highly recommend the Meridian.

Great location, close to the beach and shopping/ restaurant area, good facilities and friendly hosts. Ideal for catching up on the laundry as share facilities with one other room. Pool nice to relax in after a busy day of excursions. Arrived late in the dark, found key fine in safe out of hours however when you are lugging around lots of luggage direction to room and floor would have been helpful, fortunately another guest helped out.
