This is a beautiful property located above the Bluffs have a stunning beach. The main hotel itself is stunning. So you can imagine my disappointment when I was given a room that faced at hedge and a wall on the walkway. Room 201 or 202 I would avoid all costs, not only do you have to go to the corner of your patio to see the ocean but you get this horrible piped in music from my speaker that’s located at the corner of the pool. The music goes on and on until late in the evening, even when no one is by the pool. I’ve asked him to turn it down, but they seem reluctant to do so. I’m a solo female traveler, and I also be put on the ground floor is insensitive to the safety of a woman traveling alone

Worth. Every. Penny. Came here as a showcase to our honeymoon. Everything was impeccable. Everything complemented each other. All of the staff were extremely polite and accommodating. Without a doubt, this was the best hotel stay/memory of our entire trip. From the airport transfer, 11-course dinner experience, to the views, use of the L'Occitane spa, beachfront, and the exclusive street leading up to it - this is something you do not want to miss. There's a reason why it's the best hotel in the Algarve and South of Portugal. We will be back.

Excellent 5 star property with amazing decor and feel. The staff strived for excellence and delivered. Superb hospitality and sophisticated ambience. Highly recommend if you are visiting Portimão

This hotel staff has an unbelievable attention to detail. They make sure you are relaxing and getting the most out of the experience. Magdalena and John (sp.) who were at the front desk assisted us during our stay with ideas about food, entertainment and sites to see. At the pool area we were assisted by Mikala (sp) who was great fun and provided great service. We dined at Vista, their Michelin star restaurant. Tiago, the sommelier provided a great experience with wine. Servers Bruno and Diego were wonderful with each course of beautiful food that tasted as good as it looked. Never have we experienced such beautiful delicious food and wine. One evening we had basically a private dinner in their bistro. Beautiful setting and our server Gonzales heightened the experience. We definitely would return to this hotel for incredible views, service and relaxation.

This is my most favorite hotel that I have ever stayed in. From the moment we checked in until we left everything g was prefect! The hotel was so beautiful and unique, inside and out. The grounds were well manicured and there are stairs just next to the property that lead down to Praia da Rocha. Our room was in the “deluxe” building. This building has been fully renovated and our room had a balcony with a gorgeous ocean view. They provide complimentary still water, sparkling water, and small snacks. The location is great; we walked everywhere. Staff - I was so impressed with the impeccable service! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We did not want for anything. Breakfast - The complimentary breakfast was so much more than I ever expected. We sat outside on the terrace every morning and took in the view of the beach and ocean. There was a self service area with fresh fruit, meat, and cheese. In addition, there was table service which included coffee, fresh juices, and a tower of baked goods. You could order hot food (also complimentary) also. The avocado toast and egg benedict were delicious! And again, the service was perfection. Spa - We had a couple deep tissue massage and both my husband and I thought it was one of the best massages we had ever had. A 60 min massage was 98 Euro, a much better price than you will find at luxury hotels in US/Caribbean/Mexico. I would 100% stay here again!

Our experience was not about luxury or great food or a pretty room even though we had all those things at the Bela Vista. It was the exceptional support, service and kindness we received from the hotel staff as we had a medical emergency while we were there. It sounds melodramatic, but their hotel doctor saved my life by identifying that I had septic shock, getting us an ambulance and to the hospital asap. The front desk was so accommodating as my husband had to move our reservation multiple times while I was in the hospital. When I was discharged and back in the hotel in a wheelchair they went out of their way to help me get around and even got me access to the physical therapist in their spa. The bottom line is we had a frightening experience in a foreign country and they made it as pleasant as possible (which sounds ridiculous but it was a beautiful place to recover). Our biggest kudos to Joao, Susanna and Dr. Rodrigues Cunha.

Bela Vista is paradise on the beach. You are warmly welcomed and given a tour of the property which starts your relaxing vacation. The rooms are tasteful decorated and if you have a garden room your view from the balcony is spectacular looking right out into the sea. We were very fortunate to have dinner in the 1 star Michelin restaurant ( which I think should be classified as a 2 star) the chef Joao Oliveira has a very creative and tasteful tasting menu. The service is top notch and a very friendly atmosphere I highly recommend you go you won’t be disappointed. The operations manager Teresa Frazao went way above her position when helping us with requests we had at the hotel and making additional arrangements for us inPorto. She truly knows what customer service means as do her hotel staff . We had an early departure and the hotel provided us with a breakfast to go which was unbelievable in the amount of food they gave us and covered every breakfast base possible. I would highly recommend this hotel Janice Stevens & Kim Kinsey

Beautiful setting. Wonderful service. We stayed in the garden building with a seaside view and I could have sat on our patio all day overlooking the garden with the ocean at a distance. Delicious breakfast. Fabulous experience at the Vista Restaurant tasting--pricey but worth it, a true once in a lifetime experience.
