Good hotel on the *****! Convenient to the beach and bars! Good air con and also heating option because I have was freezing after a siesta with air con on! But that’s a good thing. Staff were accommodating polite and even refreshed my room on the second day! Thankyou so much Hotel Avenida Praia for the best weekend xx

Really dirty hotel rooms and the staff at the check in desk are so rude. the beds are tiny and same with the rooms. There are much cheaper options that are much nicer on the portimao *****. The only positive of staying here is that it was 5-10 min walk to the Rolling Loud and Afronation festivals.

It’s a mixed bag! As usual, it’s better to do a list of the good and the not that much, but to be fair, it’s more or less what I expected for the amount paid. So let’s begin by highlighting the best: - Great location, for both the daytime and nighttime activities. - Good breakfast for the budget you’re paying for. - Nice staff; very attentive guy the day of check in That’s all! The CONS: - Really, really, really very bad bedding and “pillow”, if you can even call that one. Quite bad!!! - Old and not well kept, though very spacious bathroom, which is not common. - A bit noisy, but if you get a room not facing the street, you shouldn’t have any issues. I’d say I wouldn’t go back, since sleeping quality is very important for me. But it’s not expensive, which is not common in the area.

If your looking for a relaxing place this is not for you. Although you get what you pay for while clean it’s out dated. Beds lumpy not vey comfortable. Certainly fine for someone here to party. The disco is directly across the street and sometimes making loud noise until 5am! Get a room up or out back! Breakfast minimal but nice. Hotel Next to direct route to the beach . Bus stop close by to get to Lagos or Faro. Staff friendly all in all OK but expect simple and bring ear plugs!

Room was very clean. Cleaned everyday including towels etc. Good value for a three star. Good do with bigger pillows as very small. Night club opposite very noisy on the weekend. Ok with door shut to sleep. Does have Aircon and a little fridge for water etc. Very small balcony but see view.

This hotel is in a great location with access to the amazing beach and local restaurants and nightlife. We were on the 2nd floor and stayed for one week. You'd need to be on a higher oor for a good sea view. The nightclub opposite is lively and open until 4am. We didn’t find this an issue at all. Maybe a problem if you're a light sleeper or have children. We were in bed early and also early to rise. We saw, from our balcony, lots of people having left the club behaving with no issues. Im really impressed at how well organised everything was. Breakfast options were limited but sufficient. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our time here and would happily book again.

The hotel is located directly on the main street near the beach, so it is great location, the room was ok, tiny balcony overlooking the club, the music plays till around 1 am. But my big issue is the incorrect description of the hotel, I chose it because it says parking available - but not on the property, when I asked the young lady at the front desk she couldn't even help me where to park!?!?! Had to ask staff at near by bar who gave me excellent advice.

A traditional style hotel on main ***** in Praia da Rocha, very convenient to shops, bars, restaurants. Level street outside, but steps to the beach. Bus route very close. Hotel is very clean, if dated. Staff were helpful and friendly. Stored my luggage on my last day. Able to borrow hair dryer. Excellent value for money.

Amazing value and location for a night out on the Rocha *****. Be aware you can't actually drive the last few yards to the hotel as it's in a controlled zone, we found free on street parking a couple of minutes walk away. The double gazing and high floor seemed to eradicate any noise but be aware it is located in the centre of the *****.
