The staff was amazing and sincerely nice. The property is noticeably old in construction. A portion of the flooring is slippery when wet because it is tile flooring. Other areas have a more of a stone/clay like non-slip flooring.
I was a solo traveler and it is about a 15min. walk up to the local town with more affordable shopping and better restaurants than the ones provided by this resort. In addition, it's great being immersed within the vibe of the local community.
It was a big disappoin**ent when I was told I had to wear a shirt with sleeves to dinner at the resort, as I had no idea there was a "dress code" and considering how much money you will pay per night to stay here, I should be able to eat at a beach resort, with a tank top on. Needless to stay during my 3-nights here, I only ate dinner once on site and it really wasn't excellent and it doesn't start until 7pm.
There are security cameras everywhere, which was a bit creepy. In addition, they have security guards in the beach area too.
I can't recommend this resort to any solo travelers. You will have a more enjoyable, affordable and comfortable stay at a pousada in the village. If you have a family and kids, which is what I saw more of and older couples (60yrs. ) then you'll probably enjoy this place.
