We stayed two nights. The property area was noisy and run down. The room was clean though. When checking in, the staff at the desk seemed like we were putting her out because we needed to check in. She made a comment that it was two days before Chris**as, and made it seem like we were an inconvenience. We were there because there was a death in the family and had to make quick arrangements to attend the funeral. The other staff (maid service and staff when checking out) were extremely friendly. Maybe the other lady was having a bad day?

This review is for room 115. When we first came into the room it seemed cold in the room than outside. The heat had been off for I don't know how long. Everything was cold - even the bed!! The heater did not warm the room sufficiently. Only 2 of the 4 blowers were working. When turning down the covers, I noticed footprints on the fitted sheet. I took off the sheet, turned it inside out, and put it back on. I don't expect to have to do that !! The door had such bad seals that you could visibly see light under and around the door. That's why there was a mouse in the room!! We normally stay at 2 or 3 star hotels, but this is not even to that standard.

The beds are hard and a little high for a handicap person to get in, but not bad for the price. Very quiet and staff was polite. Stayed here 3 times when visiting the area. The queen beds they advertise we booked all 3 times was full size, not queen, but we made it work. Overall, it isn't bad.

Sheets were dirty. Stained yellow. Cigarette burn marks, tare in sheets & blankets

For the price this place was old and outdated. The tub wasn't the cleanest. The pool wasn't working and wasn't advertised that it was not open for awhile. The breakfast was just ok. Hotel across the street was much better!

I couldnt get the plug ins by the mirror to work. Nice clean hot shower though. Bed comfortable.

Have not been at this hotel in over 35 years, so I wasn't expecting 5 stars. We use to stay here on our way to Harlan Ky. Or the night before our reservation at the resort. That was more then 49 years ago. It use to be the Heart Inn. We use to call it heart break in 😆. Wanted to stay here because of my childhood memorys. Very happy it's still here after all these years. Old but happy it survived all the changes around here.

I stayed 4 nights and was very pleased with the room and the house keeping staff did an excellent job keeping towels and toiletries that I needed supplied to the room without ever being intrusive! It was like the cleaning fairy showed up and my room was fresh and clean and ready each evening when I arrived back to my room. It was a very pleasant experience!!! I have stayed at other locations that I was made to feel like I was intruding on the house keeping staff by being in my room I was paying to stay in! I will definitely stay there again!

It’s convenient to town. Good for a quick stay. Not much to look at outside.
