ザ ウッドペッカー イン(The Woodpecker Inn)

This was a stay we will never forget, it feels like one of those hidden gems in our beautiful country. We went to Afrikaans Is Groot and this stay was close and central to everything we wanted to visit.

Where do I begin? Everything was perfect for me. The communication about my stay, the staff were so helpful and friendly, the breakfasts delicious, my accomodation so comfortable and clean. Location perfect for my family visit. The surroundings were peaceful and load shedding didn’t even feel like a thing. Although the generator outside was quite intrusive but that is not a reflection on the Inn. I will definitely be doing this again and bringing my husband with. Thank you for making my family visit such a memorable one!

The staff was friendly and helpful. Feel safe and you can go for great walks. Great breakfast was served. Close to the hospital and all the major department stores. It is a well established guesthouse but could do with a refresh.

Very nice and quiet place in a wonderful surrounding. Great hostess and friendly staff. You have to book in advance for dinner - but they serve good food. The rooms towards the golfcourse are very nice and light.

Great for a winter stay. Staff is great, food excellent. They have a generator that kicked in during loadshedding & they have electric blankets, so you are warm & cosy on a winters night. Really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed in the suite for a week with our granddaugter and it was perfect in every sense. Clean room very spacious and everything you could ask for. The best however was the staff. Annetjie and her staff was excellent and we appreciated their service and professional way they work together. Truly a home away from home. I will deffinately return as the guesthouse is positioned close to everything and safe for travelling alone. Thank you once again

My husband and I recently stayed here for twelve nights and were very impressed with the welcome, service, facilities, accommodation and friendliness of all the staff. By the end of our stay we felt like family and were sorry to leave. Great breakfasts with the best fruit salad and granola ever plus eggs etc to order, not to forget the coffee machine which was available 24/7. Lovely quiet setting on the Woodhill Golf Estate where one could walk safely and enjoy snacks/meals at the adjacent Club House. Overall 10/10 and highly recommended.
