Staff was more than accommodating it is now my go to place in Ascoli

Being unfamiliar with Ascoli Piceno, I reached out to Albergo Sant Emidio based on reviews that I read and was immediately contacted by the staff. They were very helpful connecting me with a gentleman who could pick me up at the train, and who arranged excellent walking and driving tours. The hotel is quaint, lovely, and spotless. The rooms are spacious with updated bathroom. The breakfast is well planned with a nice variety of foods. The hotel staff are all warm, welcoming, and very helpful. I look forward to returning to Albergo Sant Emidio with my family.

The hotel is centrally located, but it needs some freshening up. We were greeted by a scruffy person, who debated every time a simple question was asked. For example I asked why my courtesy light in the room did not turn off. She answered that it never happened before. Eventually her night employee realized the card for the electricity was not activated. In the shower there was black mold everywhere. Something that it could have been easily take care with bleach. The shelf in the shower was high. So if you are less than 5feet you cannot reach for your soap/shampoo. Breakfast was a bizarre event. We had to tick off our choices the night before on a sheet of paper , and provide also the time. The items weren't great.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel in spite of constant rain and cold weather in Ascoli Piceno. The staff was cordial and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable with a spacious bath and plenty of closet space. The breakfast lots to be desired. We were asked each night to fill out a sheet by marking our breakfast selections. It was mostly breads or sandwiches. The coffee and cappuccino was consistently cold. The only other complaint is that the beds are hard as concrete. We woke up every morning with sore backs and legs.

Great but parking situation very complicated + inconvenient. After finding our way to the hotel (after having to call them because we had to go down streets that said "residents only" she gave us the name of a municipal parking garage, which was 6-7 km away driving... not as far walking back to the hotel.

We are travelling all Italy by car over 3 months and this was our favourite stay. Our host was Maurizio and he was most helpful. I hate constant air conditioning and this room had under floor heating and cooling which was perfect. 5 minute walk to great Restaurant, great food, wine and reasonable pricing. Many places to visit close by, and property served great breakfast and covered parking. Fabulous stay, we highly recommend this property.

We stayed 4 nights at Sant'Emidio during horrible wet weather. The hotel was warm and welcoming. We borrowed umbrellas and ventured out anyway. The location is perfect. Our room had a view of the garden and was quiet. Something very special was the number of big bath towels and lots of hot water. Staff members were friendly and thoughtful. Breakfast was fine, including extra expresso after our cappuccino. Hotel deserves an extra star.

Amazing hotel and staff

All’Hotel S. Emidio siamo arrivati un po’ per caso, trovando all’ultimo minuto una matrimoniale per aggregarci ad un week end lungo in Ascoli, prenotato invece da tempo lì da nostra cognata Serena. Quindi (almeno per me e mia moglie) nessuna scelta predeterminata. E invece no. Abbiamo trovato qui un bel tre stelle con davvero una marcia in più: centralissimo (pochi metri da piazza Arringo) ma a pochi passi dal comodo parcheggio Torricella (convenzionato con l’hotel); in un palazzetto d’epoca, ben ristrutturato all’interno; atrio minimalista ma efficiente; stanze confortevoli, con rifiniture di gusto nella loro tranquillità; bagno finalmente ampio e luminoso, letto matrimoniale con materassi e cuscini dal comfort eccellente. Servizio di colazione senza l’usuale buffet, per il quale è necessario prenotare la sera prima le scelte personali e la fascia oraria: indubbiamente una limitazione, dipendente dallo spazio non esuberante disponibile per la sala colazioni. Ma il personale dell’hotel, tutto di grandissima affabilità e gentilezza, ha reso per noi questa limitazione assolutamente impercettibile, facendoci superare senza danni anche la ventura, l’ultimo giorno, di avere al tavolo accanto al nostro una signora tanto piacente quanto snob che, pur arrivata al tavolo delle colazioni dopo di noi, ha “sequestrato” la cameriera con una serie senza fine di sue richieste particolari, monopolizzando il servizio senza eccessivo riguardo per le attese di noi paria… Comunque, complimenti ancora al personale dell’hotel S. Emidio per disponibilità, garbo ed efficienza assolutamente all’altezza della struttura, che siamo certi di tornare ad utilizzare, avendo ancora tanto da godere nella bella ed accogliente Ascoli.
