We booked 2 rooms at the hotel for our family. I received an email 2 days before check in that due to overbooking we were being moved to a different place. The hotel then followed up the day before about this change. We checked in at the BorgoLecco and then we’re told where the other location was. The directions were not clear for someone unfamiliar with the area. A map would have been nice. I ended up pulling it up on my phone so the reception could show me where it was. The new place was called Casina San Giovanni. It was about a mile away. It didn’t feel like a hotel but more like an Airbnb or a small apartment. It was nice, but I couldn’t get the A/C to work in either room. We opened windows and that helped. Also the amenities were not consistent or good. One room only got lotion and body wash. The other room got a larger bottle of shampoo but I could t get it open. Both rooms had a bidet as well as a washing machine. Also equipped with a small kitchen. The rooms were a little noisy. I could hear people walking above us or water frequently running. Also we had a promotion that offered free breakfast when we booked, but had to go back to the hotel for that. So we had to drive for the free breakfast. The breakfast was pretty good. We enjoyed the croissants, meats, cheeses, and waffles.
Don’t support this hotel, or trust them. Booked for the F1 weekend through *********** at euro 600/night. Very high for a 3 star hotel but it’s the F1, charge what they want. The F1 was moved 1 week early, we did not cancel however still charged the F1 rate. The room rate for that weekend was between Eros 150 and 180 per night, the hotel told us. Just disgraceful, pure robbery. When we initially challenged this, the money was taken from our account, 11 months in advance. We questioned *********** who agreed with us. They spoke to the hotel who refused a refund. As stated, robbery, deceitful and atrocious behavior. I challenge them to deny it. Don’t stay there, a 3 star at best, dishonest and not trustworthy.
Hotel breakfast is ok and the staff at breakfast are friendly... that's as good as it gets. The rooms are sweltering hot. I asked to change rooms straight after check-in and the staff advised that HVAC is broken for all rooms, has been for a while and wont be fixed - I had to go and buy a fan to cool the room. I had to check out early and they have a cancellation policy. Their policy is you can leave early but you do not get a refund, even though I specifically booked a hotel which would allow this. The room is clean, but very seedy - how many ”4 star” hotels do you know of who supply hotel branded condoms in the toothbrush and comb utility box - a box of 2 condoms with 1 missing...? They also have nice frosted glass walls between the shower, toilet and bed area - classy. Further to that, on the wall opposite the entry door is a panel - soft soundproofed as all the others. If you look closely you'll see a small handle at the bottom and this panel opens to see a door into the service corridor. YOU as the guest can not open or lock this door, but the staff can at any time of day or night. If they do open the door and you are in the frosted glass walled shower or toilet then you expose your all to them. Another handy feature is the cupboard on the back wall. This also has a shelf with a hidden door which opens into the service corridor. Again, as the guest you can not lock this or stop the hotel accessing it 24 hours a day. Therefore if you want to use the shelf above the safe, do not put anything valuable there - the hotel can remove it while you are asleep.
We came as a family. From check in it went down hill. The rooms we were given was in use and very dirty. Nothing seemed to work in the other rooms. Breakfast was a disgrace. Flys everywhere in the dinning hall. I was aggressively abused by a member of staff on leaving. He then called another resident to come join in. They were accusing me of slamming doors even though at the time we were not at the hotel. I was told comments about people like me being disgusting, even though I hadn’t done anything. It was 3 men against a female and children. Very ****** and uncomfortable feel. He said he is taking money out of my account and tried to call police on us for spilling a drink, I really believe they tried to scam me. We ended up missing our flight as he wouldn’t let our taxi driver leave. We’ve had no apologies. Love holiday are also not taking it as a priority. I would t recommend here to anyone, especially people of colour

9904kurtaWhen you expect top Service, you will definitely get it here. It starts with the check-in, the information you will get from the Concierge, the lovely decorated and spacious room and it goes on to the attention you get from all staff you see and do not see. Top of the top
Booked direct the day before for just over £100 for one night. This is excellent value for money. There are two restaurants. I used the Bistro one as I didn't want anything too elaborate. I ordered pizza and was very impressed. This is proper pizza with a light flaky crust you only get in Italy. It was quiet and confortable. The lobby has plenty of modern seating. Like a lot of European hotels there is an underground car park. Access from there to reception via a lift. WiFi was easy to connect to although speed was much slower in the lobby compared to the room. I will definitely stay here again when I'm working in the area. Recommended.
Good hotel, nothing out of the extraordinary. stayed many times in this hotel during my business trips and I don’t regret it. It affordable and clean. There is nothing around to entertain you so you should only use this hotel only to rest. Enjoy !
ゲゲストIt was ok for the price, very minimalist, the walls need an update they were all dirty and peeling and stained . The bed and cushions were very comfortable, good breakfast. No extra cushions or blankets
Ccorina cLocanda San Paolo is the best option in Monza. The hotel is located city center, with very good access to the Railway station. Facilities for guests are well organized, you will receive all information that you need. The room has a beautiful balcony with city center view, the rooms was very very clean, the sheets on the bed, made you the impression that you are like home. Near the hotel, there are plenty of restaurants, grocery stores, shopping for clothes, etc. Definitely a very good option.
Hotel was clean, not super clean but ok. However the room was very very basic, simple furniture and so on. I had to leave for drink to avoid a low mood. You need a car to get to the hotel and to leave. The environment is basically a street. I did not stay for breakfast. I did find it a bit expensive altogethet. But I have to admit, it was difficult to find a hotel in Monza.
We stayed in this hotel as part of our tour that began in Melan. Our room was so small that we could hardly pass each other. The air conditioning was out of order so opening the window was the only option. This would have kept us a little cooler except that a group of teens/young adults gathered in the courtyard and made so much noise we had to close the windows. Thus, we were very uncomfortable with the heat. The restaurant was good but not great. This hotel also needs some TLC. The grounds are really pretty and could be beautiful with a little care. The same goes for the hotel. The fact that it was once a castle could be a draw for guests but they need to put some money and work into bringing up to the standards that travelers expect.
