ホテル マルテ(Hotel Marte)

This is a basic hotel so don’t expect tea/ coffee making facilities in your room, pool towels or free bottles of water! However, the breakfast is more than adequate catering for all nationalities ( fried, boiled and scrambled eggs and bacon, beans and hash browns!!!) the rooms are clean, the staff are friendly and the location is excellent!!! The pool is small and cold (we went in February) but it’s a little sun trap and very peaceful if you don’t want to spend money on the lido and the hotel doesn’t supply towels ( we just dried in the sun ). The best by far is the location of this hotel, a two minute walk from the old town yet it’s still peaceful at night! For the price I would definitely recommend hotel Marte!

Budget hotel in a reasonably good location close to public parking. Breakfast was excellent. Staff was pretty welcoming and accommodating. These are all the pluses. The condition of the property, however, is terrible. No air conditioning (as expected), but there was also low air circulation in the room. Even being terribly tired after a long day you may not have a comfortable sleep. Furniture, walls are all awfully tired. On the top of all, room had no flowing water in the morning. So you can’t take a shower, flush the toilet or even wash your hands. So I would never return and never recommend anyone staying here!

The hotel is very conveniently located near the bus station, the staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfasts are very good. On the down side the wifi was unreliable and could not be accessed at peak times, secondly my room's only source of natural light was a light well which was a bit depressing.

I stayed at the hotel between the 10th and 19th of September, and I must say I would NEVER return with it in this condition. The rooms are extremely outdated and need lots of work done. I was a solo traveller, and my room from entering had a sicky smell, which reception said this was due to varnishing the rooms. The room was very hot as the air con was a little unit, which did absolutely nothing to cool the room down. There was a lack of plug sockets, which meant I had to keep unplugging the TV and phone. The room also did not have a fridge, which in this heat is ridiculous. I was having to constantly buy water from the shop so it was cold and was then wasting the warm water left in the room. I since on leaving was told I could have paid daily to have a fridge but this was not offered to me. I personally think with the heat it should be included. The staff were friendly, so I can't fault them on the poor standard and lack of amenities within the hotel. The pool is extremely small, so I used other pools nearby. I spoke with several other guests who confirmed the same, and some even checked out and spent money to stay at another hotel. If it was not for money, I would have checked out myself, but unfortunately, I did not have that privilege. The bar area is not manned, and you have to ask reception for drinks, and they then charge you then get you the drink, which is not a great experience. I am extremely gutted and tried to stay out of the room as much as I could as the surroundings are beautiful and have lots to do, so I am thankful for that. I am now also going home with bad back pain as I could feel every spring from the mattress.

We booked this trip in a hurry, just to get a break before a knee surgery, later this month. We "upgraded" to Superior room, but to be honest, has nothing to do with Superior... In the room, we found three electrical outlets, one occupied with internal tlf., one occupied with TV, and third one, with a fan, which should replace the aircondition. In this modern world, You need to charge a phone, a tablet etc. The room was very ordinary. But to the main point, with temperstures at 40degrees C. outside, we just had to evacuate, and find a different hotel after first night(our fault, should have checked better). Friendly staff, and the room was tidy and clean, but the fellow in reception, spoke very little english. So for this time:Sorry...

Hotel is clean and reasonably comfortable. There is a good choice of breakfast items, some hot as well as meats and cheese, pastries and cereal.. Staff are friendly. There is an amazing view of Teide from the hotel roof. The hotel is located close to bars and restaurants

Hotel muy céntrico, aunque algo antiguas las instalaciones, las habitaciones confortables,todo muy limpio, el personal muy servicial. Desayuno completo y variado.

Hôtel bien situé, mais c'est à peu près tout. Nous avions une chambre en sous sol avec vu sur la salle à manger avec les odeurs... Pas de luminosité, peu de prise pour brancher les téléphones et autres appareils. Chambre propre, mais vieillote et pas très grande, peu d'espace pour poser ses affaires. Salle de bain propre mais le tuyau de la douche était en mauvais état. Petit déjeuner copieux avec du choix, en revanche le dîner c'est plutôt la cantine et c'est moyen. La salle de repas est bruyante, il vaut mieux manger dans le patio. En revanche, le personnel est aimable et souriant. Il y a un parking pas très loin, à peine à 100m, qui est gardé et pour un prix attractif : 5 € la nuit.
