La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Radford

The room was specious. However, when entering the hotel there is a moldy odor. The included breakfast was poor and uninviting. The receptionist when we arrived was not courteous and uncaring. While the hotel was practically empty, only a handful of guest, we asked to get another chair for the room (there was only one chair). The receptionist said that it's impossible since they are needed in the other (empty) rooms. After some encouragement, she spoke with the manager who authorized to bring another chair so that we could both sit at the same time. Perhaps some training in customer's service would be beneficial to the evening shift receptions. In contrast the following morning receptionist was very courteous and helpful.

The stay was very nice, quiet. The breakfast was awful, though; that was the only negative.

It was a Smokey lobby every day. The walls didn’t have the adequate sound transmission rating for a quiet stay and their didn’t have accessible rooms.

Enjoyed Direct TV (just like home) and the shower and eggs/sausage for breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful at breakfast. well lit parking was comforting. Appreciate the gym option. I usually stay at a hotel nearby that was booked. This hotel is definitely on my list when I return

Breakfast was weird. Everything wrapped in plastics. The flatware also plastic. The plates one time use cardboard. The “scrambled eggs” made from powder, some sort of strange meet patty in the container next to it. The only fruit or vegetable a banana. Imagine the daily load of trash from this practice. Our room smelled strongly of chlorine (yuck) but an undeniable smell of unclean still came from the carpet. The bathroom was dirty in the corners and the toilet roll hold roller had seen better days. Would recommend the hotel to switch to refillable dispensers for soap, shampoo and conditioner instead of the little plastic bottle and bar soap that was provided. The top of the bed had a strange polyester sheet but the sheet next to the skin thankfully a cotton blend. Bed comfort was okay. All in all it was survivable but strange. I would recommend trying a different place.

Our rooms were very neat and clean and well-furnished. The staff was very helpful, and went above and beyond in meeting any needs we had. The breakfast bar was great as well. Next time we stay in Radford, we will definitely be here!

I visited Radford University for the weekend with my daughter. We stayed here and were very satisfied. The hotel was about 1 mile from the campus. What I liked most was that our room was affordable, very clean, and comfortable. The beds were comfortable, the room temperature was cool, and the bathroom had a nice, spacious shower. The overall property was quiet, quaint, and felt safe. If I had to be nitpicking, I would say the parking lot is pretty small and I didn’t notice an elevator so if your disabled you’d likely need a first floor room.

The room was well-kept, spacious, and fairly new. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The price was fair. Breakfast was forgettable - but Cracker Barrel is nearby.

Very comfortable stay, breakfast was really good! Only complaint is the schrub in front when you are exiting onto Tyler. It creates a dangerous blind spot. Other than that, I would stay again.
