We didn't book rooms there, but went there every night for dinner during our Rasdhoo holiday. Large variety of food, good quality, very fair prices. Staff/waitresses are extraordinarily friendly, always with a smile.

In February 2024 we spent a bit more than a week in the Shallow Lagoon Hotel on the Rasdhoo island. And what a week it was! Everything was simply magnificent. We felt genuinely welcome from the very first moment we set our foot on the island’s sand. The hotel staff deserves all the credit for that. They were all extremely friendly, doing their u**ost to make our stay as pleasant and relaxed as possible. They made sure that our rooms were clean at all times and that the same applied to the whole hotel area too. The food was local and- great. One cannot overlook how it got served- in a well shaded tropical garden covered by sand which enabled us to walk barefoot from our rooms directly to the dining area. While enjoying our food, a few very friendly parrots regularly joined us; Johny was the bravest one, sitting on our shoulders and chatting with us. The hotel people also organized a bunch of wonderful trips for us, including snorkelling on remote coral reefs, picnics on other islands (Madivaru sand bank, Thoddoo…), night fishing with the locals, diving with the mantas and last but not least- a wonderful dinner under the stars at the local bikini beach. The scuba dives provided by the hotel’s scuba centre (which was extremely well equipped and staffed) were just the cherry on top of the cake. Every Shallow Lagoon Hotel staff member did their best. However, Maria deserves a special credit for organizing everything in such a manner that our trip to Maldives simply exceeded our expectations. We do recommend staying on Rasdhoo which is a “local” island and hence offers visitors a possibility to blend in with the local residents and get a feeling of their day-to-day routine (which is something that one cannot get by visiting a “resort” hotel). And- of course- we do highly recommend staying at the Shallow Lagoon Hotel. Maria & co., thank you once again for making our family vacation unforgettable.

I was lucky to spend 7 days in Rashdoo at this hotel. The island is wonderful, but it is the hotel's staff that makes the experience unforgettable. Great accommodation, great trips and unbeatable service. As a receptionist, María is a 10, attentive, friendly and fun. The same for the staff , everyone in general but especially Shiham, Abdu and Hassan who are there for everything, with them fun is guaranteed. Without a doubt the best hotel and staff I have found in the Maldives.

The best experience of my life. The hotel is excellent as well as the people who work there. Everyone is very kind and friendly, they help you with everything you need at the moment. I have had the feeling of being at home. 100_% recommendable. the island is beautiful and the excursions offered at the hotel are incredible. I would repeat a thousand more times.

The staff made our stay so plesent, we want to revisit it next year. Hotel room was very nice and cool. The food was great. Each member of staff new some Slovenian language which was such a nice suprise. Hotel manager Maria and others made our vacation adventurios and romantic. I highly recommend you try out each of their trips around rasdhoo island. My favourite was sunset on sand bank and beach bbq.

The honeymoon stay at Shallow Lagoon guest house was amazing! The employees are very friendly and always ready to help. The location on Rasdhoo Island is great as everything is close by. We had beakfast and dinner and there were many different dishes available. The guest house also offers excursions, which are more than great! The employees go to great lengths to ensure that the participants enjoy and experience unforgettable moments.

Excellent experience staying at shallow lagoon Their beach front rooms are literally at the edge of the ocean! Brilliant view! Calm quiet and peaceful. Can enter the water right outside the room. Super hospitality, right from WhatsApp messages till our departure from rasdhoo. Thank you so much for a wonderful time.
