Hi we've booked here for July 2nd as self catering we are a family of 6,do U no if its possible to upgrade when we arrive to all inclusive please and HM it would cost roughly🙂 xx we booked this through a cancellation so didn't get the option for all inclusive when booked.xx

We went back to Rhodes after 36 years, when we went for our honeymoon. We stayed at The Sun BeachResort. It’s a big hotel. We arrived early hours of the morning as our flight was delayed. We went in, only to be told our room is in another building behind the supermarket. We checked in. We went to our room which was very small. We had to open the patio often as there is no ventilation in the bathroom, so the room always felt damp and smelly. Our room was over the entertainment areas, so we never got any sleep until it finished. It overlooked the front of the building which was something noisy. We were tired, so we went to sleep. Next day we went for breakfast. There were variety of choices, something for everyone. We were half board. We ate early again plenty of choices. The only thing I really disagree is their policy on tap water for half board guests. If you are half board you have to buy bottled water at €2.30, but if you are all inclusive you can have tap water. This was really frustrating. So the next day I went to see the customer relations. She had long conversations with the restaurant manager. Because it was our wedding anniversary we were offered wine, water and fruit. And nothing about the water issue! Nothing was left in our room and nothing was said or changed in the restaurant regarding water. (A basic human need water). As we were leaving the next day. So we didn’t peruse our issue and the hotel staff weren’t interested. One more thing, there is an older lady that works on a Tuesday morning in the supermarket she takes advantage of guests, check your change in the supermarket, as if you don’t check your change, they will short change you. Overall the hotel is lovely and clean. Staff are friendly, food is excellent good range.

We booked our trip for a last minute charter. The hotel is well taken care of and the rooms are clean and comfortable. We had a superior studio facing “the garden” in the Garden View building. Really no garden! We faced away from the pool area which was good as there is entertainment every evening and it is loud! The pools in all the complexes are well maintained, not heated, but we loved it. It is quite windy here but swimming in the sea was fun. We did not book all inclusive so we are not able to comment on the food. The small kitchen was perfect for our week stay. A special shout out to the activities/entertainment staff; you were all amazing, especially Amy, Lucy and the delightful gentleman who did the aqua fitness. Thank you for an enjoyable week! BTW the planes flying by were not as irritating as I had thought.

Beautiful hotel. Friendly staff. We took the all-inclusive package and were amazed over the variety of foods served daily. An extra ***** to the Animation team. All of them where wonderful with our children and the minidisco was the highlight of the day. Don’t know all of there names but Lucy and Amy was amazing! Thanks. We’ll be back!

Our first time to Rhodes and to a large hotel like Sun Beach. From check in to check out the staff were fantastic. The entertainment team made us feel welcome and included in the activities. Shout out to Lucy and Aimee and the rest of the animation team for their energy and performances in the evening. I enjoyed the stretch class in the mornings as well. Beautiful spot we will go back

Lovely hotel, staff very helpful. Giannis the maitre ‘d looked after my mother in law who was vegan and ensured she had options to eat each night, very professional and courteous. Small drawback from the buffet dinner and breakfasts was that the food was not always as warm as it could have been, but some good options to choose from and varied each night. The pools were lovely (but freezing), lots of sun beds available, adult only pool a good space to relax. The beach is pebbles and a bit painful to get in and out but lovely temperature of the sea.

The Hotel is clean and well maintained. It's not a noisy location at all, in fact it's beautifully serine. Our room was right on the beachfront which was awesome, 20 meters to the water, beautifully blue and not as cold as expected. The entertainment team were outstanding especially Ian a young croation lad. The food was different every night, greek delicacies absolutely nailed, however sushi and Mexican night weren't delivered quite as well, but still edible. The hotel staff were pleasant and hard working all the time. The family and I absolutely loved this place and cannot recommend strongly enough. To be honest as I'm writing this review I have changed it from an original rating of four star to five as even though I have stayed in nicer places the people played a huge part in making this holiday great. Well done team and thanks for a great stay. 👍
