A very enjoyable stay. Highly recommend this beautiful accommodation, the bed in my room was incredibly comfortable, gorgeously decorated and felt very spoilt with all the finishing touches and extras. After a long drive, the spa in the room was a very welcomed bonus! Great friendly service, easy check-in procedure. Thank you!

Whilst it fit the description of historical we assumed that the appearance would be the only thing. This room smelled musty, mouldy and dusty. So over powering I could bare to be in the room, had we been staying longer then one night we would have booked else where after the first night! Smells like a dusty old museum. Train runs right past in the middle of the night! Please for the love of god wash the drape over the bed and the curtins

Chose this hotel for a one night stay on our travels. Quirky room set up, huge king bed, very comfortable. Nice decor to suit the historic building. Could have a microwave. These rooms have the shower and basin in the main room with you, which at first, I thought was odd, but worked out ok. The toilet at least was in a separate room! Stayed in Room 1 and Room 9 on 2. Thought it a bit odd there were earplugs available on the shelf! The noise of the train was not too excessive. Slept well.

Very quaint, a lot of character. Def wear the ear plugs they provide (+ white noise). The trains passing by def make themselves known. Overall enjoyable stay.

Very unique. Shame right on railway lines. The trains were so loud the wheels squeaking. Only small shower curtain. Not seperate bathroom. But we were only staying one night.

Absolutely amazing place. It was hard to believe it is in the middle of Rockhampton. The only down side is the trains. They woke us a few times however a small price to pay for an amazing experience

The hotel captures the ambience of a high class, old world establishment. The four post bed, the lounge suite along with the desk and cupboards are all classic pieces rarely seen to be enjoyed these days. Even the breakfast dining room was like wise appointed. Will definitely be back to stay when next in town! Thoroughly recommended.

Lovely heritage hotel, huge room with high ceilings and comfortable 4 poster bed. Can be noisy with the odd train going by but ear plugs provided. Didn't try the continental breakfast. Location is a bit out of the way if you have no car but cbd is walkable.

What a beautiful old grand lady this building is!! I felt that it was fit for a queen and I was royalty..they've thought of everything with alcohol,snacks and even bath salts and bath bombs.. beautiful wood antique furniture it's amazing!! The only thing I can fault is that the mattress is way too soft you sink and it's really hard to get out of the bed..
