ラ フェルメ ドゥ ブラン(La Ferme de Bourran)

Didn't expect to find a hotel of this caliber in a small town like Rodez. Exceeded expectation. Loved the spacious shower and toilet room. Although the deco was modest, the room was comfortable.

This newish hotel is located at the edge of Rodez, in a newer suburban area. The room was large with a very nice bathroom. Staff welcome could have been better, but the staff the next day was quite helpful and listened to our feedback. My main issue is that in this lovely location there is limited food service, and they were unwilling to serve us in the serene courtyard. OTOH, there is a fantastic brasserie quite close by (walkable) which worked for dinner

Even if only for a quick overnight stay, the hotel & garden were worth the stop. Relaxing garden with lovely spots to sit and read amongst the flowering plants. Rooms quiet, comfortable and the breakfast buffet was ample and tasty. Walked down the hill to a good brasserie (Gaston) for an easy supper and enjoyed being so close to the town's cultural venues (Musee Soulanges, cathedrale, etc.).

We spent 3 nights in a deluxe room at La Ferme de Bourran in June. The hotel is situated on the edge of Bourran, a new residential area about 20 minutes walk from the centre of Rodez, or 5 minutes by car, if that doesn’t appeal. It is easily accessed from the main routes into Rodez, it has its own garden, and plenty of parking. Our room, one of seven, was excellent, quiet, clean and well provided – soft drinks were complementary, and the bed very comfortable. There is no restaurant, breakfast is ordered the evening before, it can be served in the reception area, on the terrace or in your room, and is very good both for quality and quantity as well as price. There is room service for an evening meal but we did not try it as there are several good restaurants within easy walking distance (less than 5 minutes). Staff were, without exception, excellent, very helpful and quick to respond to any request. Rodez is not on the major tourist agendas, but we spent a day there, visiting the Musée Soulage, as well as the local market and old town. The rest of the time we spent visiting some of the “Plus Beaux Villages de France”, of which there are many in the region. Overall it was a very enjoyable trip, and highly recommended.

Notre chambre était très grande, très belle, très propre et avec tout le confort. L'accueil était très agréable, le petit déjeuner avec de très bons produits. L'hôtel est très beau, avec une très belle vue sur Rodez et sa cathédrale. Le plus, c'est un parking privé avec possibilité de charger les voitures électriques.

Une grande maison bourgeoise un peu en hauteur de Rodez, tout au bout de la rue de Berlin, dans un lieu calme et tranquille. Dès l'entrée, l'atout incontestable de l'établissement: le sourire, la gentillesse et le professionnalisme de Julie. Chambre-suite eu premier étage, confortable, bien équipée offrant de quoi séjourner en toute autonomie dans ce lieu différent d'un hôtel standard, mais plus dans l'esprit d'une demeure de charme, simple et chaleureuse. Une vingtaine de minutes, à pieds, suffit pour regagner le centre ville. Stationnement sur place, borne de recharge pour véhicules électriques. Possibilité de se restaurer en mode room-service.

J'ai choisi la chambre DELUXE que je recommande, avec un diner en chambre. Le diner, bien qu'en room-service était très convenable, un des meilleurs que j'ai eu l'occasion de prendre !!! Un rapport qualité prix exceptionnel Je recommande TRES vivement. J'y reviendrais sans hésitation.
