This was a wonderful experience, starting with booking the hotel through email correspondence to confirm the types of beds and room. Arriving at the hotel we found andp lol extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff. Barbara was absolutely wonderful and the hotel was charming. Rooms were extremely comfortable, set up off a common area with kitchenette. location is perfect with view of ruins from one of our rooms, and view of beautiful Roman rooftops out the other. Barbara was lovely enough to leave us a basket of yummy muffins as we checked out early in the morning before breakfast and she also was extremely helpful in calling a taxi to help us to the airport that morning as well. Was both a lovely stay, and very stressfree given all of her help. Would definitely recommend staying here and we plan to return in the future.

This hotel was everything I hoped it would be! The family was so very helpful and spoke very good English! They helped arrange transportation, and gave recommendations and directions, which we greatly appreciated! The breakfast was amazing and our historic room was quaint and comfortable! Walking distance to the coliseum!

I highly recommend a stay at residenza Maritti. The location is extremely centric and comfortable to reach many point of interest in Rome. The hosts are super informative and kind and the included breakfast is very tasty with delicious croissants, cakes plus a caffetteria. They also have an incredible terrace where it’s possible to see the sunsets above the fori. Highly recommend!

A beautiful family-run hotel in a great/historical area. The hospitality was superb as well that everyone at the hotel was very friendly and eager to give useful tips for my trip in Rome. The breakfast, rooftop, tour map, thank you for everything. I stayed at a comtemporary suite this time, and would like to try a different room types of their hotel when I come back next time! They must be well-kepted and maintained as well.

Simply fantastic, if you have opportunity to stay here - do it. Family run small hotel in a 10/10 location - overlooking ruins and 3 min walk to the collosseum and central to everything. The family is kind and generous with their welcome and generous care to you and your needs. The breakfast was plentiful - pastries, croissant, boiled eggs, meat platters, yogurt and cereals. So fresh is a wonderfully eclectic dining room. Our room was the retro room on the 4th floor (yes has an elevator) - it was very large and welcoming, beds were comfortable and shower hot and strong. Fourth floor has a small private outdoor patio to relax and then the wow was the rooftop patio where you could watch the amazing sunset over historical area while enjoying a glass of wine and some small food bites. Walkable to streets of restaurants with less than a minute. When I come back to Rome this will be my new home. Simply amazing.

We stayed at Residenza Maritti for 3 nights and wouldn’t hesitate to book again when we next visit Rome. Our room itself was perfect and had stunning views of Rome. We stayed during a massive 45 degree heatwave and the hotel room had the best air conditioning of our entire trip to Italy. The hotel has a lovely little breakfast room where we could enjoy a morning pastry which was served to us. We also loved the terrace with stunning views to enjoy an aperitivo. A wonderful stay.

Our stay at the Residenza Maritti was EXCELLENT! It was a 10 minute walk to the Colosseum and other famous landmarks like Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and the Pantheon. The staff was EXTREMELY helpful. It was our first time in Rome and they provided a lot of helpful information prior to our arrival. I emailed them with many questions and someone always replied very promptly. The room was very clean and the location was near a wide variety of restaurants. Breakfast was included in our stay and was DELICIOUS. We traveled with our 15 year old son and he said "When we come back to Rome, let's stay here again!".

I hesitate to write this review because the deserve it but I also don’t want the secret to get out! Prior to arrival I had so many email threads with this hotel for preplanning, including getting a birthday cake for my nieces. The hotel staff answered every email quickly and patiently that I had 1000 questions. When you arrive at the hotel you have to press the buzzer and they will let you in. I love the decor of the rooms because it feels like a historical house instead of a hotel. There’s also a communal kitchen with a large refrigerator for guests to use. The rooms are very clean and smelled very nice. The beds are also more comfortable and less hard than a lot of the other ones we had during our trip. The location of the hotel is great, very close to the Colosseum and also within walking distance of other main sites. I also liked that the hotel is in a quieter area so we didn’t hear any noise. There is a laundromat around the corner whew you can drop off laundry per kg, info given to us by the hotel staff. Also, the view from the terrace is gorgeous, especially at sunset! Barbara, who works at the front but also at the rooftop bar making drinks is an absolute treasure. The hotel helped us to arrange and surprise my nieces with a birthday cake on their terrace for their birthday one evening. They ordered the cake for us from a local bakery in advance and picked it up for us too. Barbara was at the terrace bar and brought us over the cake and some lovely drinks. The cake was absolutely delicious. After checkin, they messaged to let me know that we had forgotten things in the room so we were able to go back for it. Throughout our travels in Italy, not everyone was friendly or welcoming so it was really a pleasure to meet such genuinely kind people. If we are ever in Rome I will certainly stay at this hotel again and I highly recommend staying.
