Really close to everything. Really friendly staff. Really comfortable bed and pillows. Small room, but we were so busy sightseeing that we just needed somewhere to sleep and have breakfast. My only thing was that we didn't have a kettle as advertised

An absolutely fantastic location and as soon as we pulled up outside in the taxi, my partner and I were impressed with the location. The staff were fantastic and it felt like we were guests of a family in their home. The hotel is literally round the corner from the Colosseum and the ruins of many ancient locations. Also the restaurant next door had great food and staff. I have to mention that I left an expensive set of Air Pods on departure and the Hotel Solis forwarded them back to my home in the UK. The Hotel Solis has great staff with honesty and integrity adding to the location and staff friendliness. I will be returning to this Hotel sometime in the future. Exceptional location.

Location absolutely great BUT the room was tiny and the room is in need of some love and attention. Booked through Jet2 and had I seen the more recent reviews I wouldn’t have booked but we chose the hotel based on the location a year ago. Suggest New light/lamp shades and bedspread. Bathroom needed a deep clean. Mouldy very small shower cubicle with dodgy doors that didn’t close properly so leaked. Although the shower power is good and you get plenty of hot water. No working extractor fan in bathroom. No soap provided in the bathroom. (Thankfully I always have a spare bar packed) Sink needed a scrub. But good hot water is available. Only one plug socket worked on one side of the bed. USB socket didn’t work on that side. Nothing worked on the other side. No other available plug sockets. No kettle as detailed. So no tea and coffee making facilities. No minibar as detailed it was a mini dodgy fridge. Only chairs were on the balcony and they were hard wooden ones. Balcony, although nice to have the outside space the view was not great. Clearly just for the smokers. Flooring broken leaving exposed wood. Air conditioning was a blessing and worked well. Bed made and Bins emptied with new towels provided both mornings. But Tight with toilet roll! Location to the colosseum was perfect. And not far to other top attractions such as the Forum and Trevi fountain etc. Lots of bars and restaurants on the doorstep. Good job as Hotel ‘bar’ was not open. (Best local restaurant was Ristorante Massenzio Ai Fori, Largo Corrado Ricci.) Breakfast at the hotel….we were up and out before 7 on our first day so didn’t see what it was like. On the 2nd morning we had slept in (after early starts two day’s running) so 3rd morning, our last we found a standard continental breakfast with just scrambled egg as hot option. Loved Rome but won’t return to this hotel.

No lock on the inside of door or bathroom door. Has an outlet for USB but it isnt connected to anything. The toilet seat fell off when I opened it. The door to the bathroom doesnt open all the way, it hits the shower. We asked them not to clean our room and they did. While doing that they somehow unplugged my charger for my phone and it got tossed behind the night stand. The fridge didnt work and hasbnt for a long time based off the look of it. When we told them they said "oh really" The bed had a very old stained mattress on it that I wish I didnt look at. It had lots of stains and not mattress cover. Just a fitted sheet. The floor was also missing some pieces and just made to look like it was normal. The AC worked-ish. It never felt cool. Just not as hot as out side. I will not reccomemnd anyone to stay here. We had friends stay one hotel over and it was so much nices for a very similar price.

Great location, staff friendly. Now to the finer detail…. Room very small, dark and overlooked a side alley were rubbish and bins were emptied nice and early. 🥱 Bathroom so small, my head touched the wall as I tried to stand up from the toilet. We won’t mention the toilet brush!! 💩 😷 TV not working but so small you could hardly see the screen anyway. Popped a bag on top of the wardrobe and dust flew everywhere!! 😳 Long dark hair in the bathroom sink on arrival and generally dated and needs a freshen up. Did mention it was our Anniversary but think they checked us into the cleaners quarters maybe?! 🤔 Plus side, sheets were clean. 👍🏻

From start to finish we had a fantastic holiday here for our daughters 21st birthday. We had a superior triple room booked. The hotel staff greeted us with a warm welcome and gave lots of advice about local sights and a map which was very handy. We were told the safe in the room was free, which was a great bonus as usually you have to pay. The hotel is beautifully traditional with marble floors and Italian style decor. The lift was in good condition, but as the marble staircase was so pretty we used this most of the time to come and go. The room was spacious and the third bed a proper sized bed not a pull out or camp bed which we have experienced as a family of 3 before, in other palces. The sheets were crisp and clean, the wardrobe spacious and everywhere clean and tidy. Yes some decor is a little worn but for the amazing location and little time spent in tue room at really didn't matter. The bathroom was a great size, good mirror and lighting. Excellent hot water and good pressure in the shower. Room was tidied every day, bins emptied, beds made, new towels, etc which was amazing. Breakfast was 7.30 to 9.30 with a great fresh choice of pastries, cereals, meats, cheeses, bread, etc. The quality was brilliant and great coffee served to your table too. Staff again friendly and welcoming. We asked various questions about getting around to our sightseeing destinations and the staff were all accommodating and extremely helpful. They even booked a taxi for us with no problems. All in all a great hotel in a fabulous central location. We had a fabulous experience and wouldn't have changed a thing!

This hotel is located at the bottom of a street called Via Cavour. It is 10 mins from the main termini station directly linked to the airport. It is 5 mins away from most attractions and has a metro station on it as well. The rooms are nice but a little dated . No kettle but a fridge for snacks and supplies. Fantastic place to stay and the staff are amazing.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, clean towels & bedding. We visited for 3 nights as a family of four & booked again for next January. It’s basic but clean & that’s all you need for a city break as you’re never in your room. Limited brekkie choices but all you need is a cuppa ☕️ & pastry. Very helpful staff when we had noisy neighbours, he was on it immediately & all was peaceful. Checking in with us the next day to make sure we were okay.

The hotel is as dirty as Rome itself. Rome city is uncared for. And neglected. Like the hotel. First of all the hotels lobby hallways and lift are are pretty good. Needs a bit of paint. Then you walk into the room. Just can’t get it. Carpets are worn out, stinking, and so old. Bathroom has been touched for 30 years.. Shower rail broken. Bathroom furniture is terrible. The bed, well. Don’t expect anything. Unbelievably terrible. No cups. No kettle. Just an empty room. Breakfast below standard. Coffee disgusting. Staff were ok. Never made an effort to smile. Or be friendly. Lady at breakfast was very pleasant. Would never visit or recommend Rome For the effort to keep this beautiful city. Is zero.
