The hotel is quite so-so. Not matching the very high review score.
Positive: Lying in bed watching tv was comfortable.
Negative: The room was not properly cleaned/made: rubbish under the bed, wornout bedding, kettle with no filter, and water stains everywhere etc..
The curtains in our room can’t be fully closed on one side - not friendly for people who want to sleep during daylight.
The window can’t be opened and AC feels dusty and hard to get the room temperature balanced.
One staff at the front desk was rude.
ゲゲストWe selected this hotel for its location close to the cruise port ( directly across the street). It’s an older hotel but great location and restaurant was great. Wish they had at least an iron or steamer along with a hair dryer.
Overall we would recommend. Elevator is small and stairs access the floors. A little tricky getting your luggage up the hotel entrance to the lobby. If you travel light it’s ok.
ゲゲストCity Hub Rotterdam is a but different from the other branches. It is more like building with a few of floors, but that's fine as long as they have lifts. And the street view from shower room is quite nice.
The management team could communicate better to guests on what they should or should not do during the stay, so everyone knows and can follow .
Another thing is there are 5 female shower rooms on 3rd floor, but three of them were locked the whole time, only two were available.
Overall, we still like City Hub a lot, hope we can enjoy our stay more next time.
ゲゲストThis hotel offers a prime, central location, arguably the best in Rotterdam compared to other hotels in the city. The staff are incredibly helpful, friendly, and hospitable, making for an enjoyable stay. However, the furniture is outdated and in need of refurbishment. The chair at the writing desk in my room was sunken and uncomfortable, which was particularly inconvenient during my business trip, as I needed to use the desk frequently.
