Location 5/5 - right next to Centraal train station with shops, supermarket, and food. Front desk 4/5 Polite and efficient. Thank you, Irish Ms.Shauna. Room 4/5. Great views. This is our second time staying here. When in Rotterdam we shall return again. Housekeeping 0/5 Worst Housekeeping I have encountered in both staying and running hotels (now retired). The after-hours staff make up for the poor performance of the day crews. Checked in and got a soiled bathroom with number one and number two in the toilet bowl and sticky floors. Couldn't get a housekeeper to come and clean as they had left for the day. The housekeeping supervisor and manager hadn't done the necessary quality control. The next day the Do Not Disturb sign was dismissed and I received a phone call informing me that the housekeepers had left at 2.30 pm for the and they claimed that they had cleaned the room. I Cleaned the sticky floor and the toilet bowl myself. Agreed with the front desk for cleaning the room for 9.30 a.m. the next day. Of course, the housekeeper was a no-show. Turns out the housekeeping staff arrive when they want. There's a normal Albert Hjein 5 minutes by foot.(not the expensive ”to go” type) More shops and eateries inside the train station. Watch out for pickpockets. Most are women and operate despite the presence of Police. The Police are inside the train station whereas the pickpockets are outside the train station. :) Unlimited free coffee at the lobby 24/7 - 5/5

We were traveling in Rotterdam for work/vacation and the Usual had rooms for our family of four (2 adults and 2 children). Maybe it is just us, but we have found it sometimes difficult to find quad rooms in our travels and don't like to have to book 2 rooms... So it was fortunate that the Usual had a room for us. I say fortunate because the rooms are quite large (a bed and a pull out sofa bed) that still left enough room for our luggage and moving around. There were 2 sinks, a refrigerator and dishware which really helped us out. Not that cooked in the room, it was just great to have for snacks and light eats. I believe the hotel is new as the furnishing was all modern, in excellent condition and very clean. I personally liked the style and amenities of the rooms and hotel. We were on the 6th floor which gave a small view of the city. The staff are very pleasant and helpful, though I would note that check-in is self-check-in and naturally we couldn't find our QR code that the hotel sent us...but there was someone to help us find our way. We only had drinks at the bar, which were good and reasonably priced. We did not get breakfast largely because of the price and that there are many local bakeries/coffee shops available. The hotel is in an excellent location, easy access to the tram/metro and many sights including the Maritime Museum. We stayed 5 nights and would have liked to stay longer. Highly recommend. Tijdens een bezoekje aan Rotterdam besloten we een kop koffie met iets erbij te bestellen bij dit hotel/restaurant. Nu hebben wij een grote “VD Valk ervaring” maar dit sloeg kant nog wal. We bestelden onze koffie en vroegen of men er iets hij had qua gebak. Dat was opzich al een lastige vraag, dat moesten ze nakijken. Wij zeiden “prima, laat het ons maar weten”. Uiteindelijk waren ze met 3 obers in de weer en na 10 minuten (koffie was bijna op) vertelden ze dat ze enkel appelgebak hadden. Dat vonden we prima. “Doe maar 1 met en 1 zonder slagroom.” Na een tijdje brachten ze 1 stukje appeltaart met slagroom. Toen we hier iets van zeiden kregen we te horen “ja iedereen bemoeit zich ermee dus de serveerster vond het wel prima”. Vervolgens maar afgerekend en bij de receptie een parkeerkaart gehaald voor 4 euro (half uurtje gezeten) voor de parkeerplaats met slagroom. Beste VD Valk Rotterdam Blijdorp, mag ik jullie aanraden je personeel behoorlijk op te leiden, te luisteren naar de gasten en elkaar niet af te vallen in het bijzijn van de gasten? Even een tip van iemand met 0% kennis van hospitality.

バスとシャワーハンドルのプラグが壊れていませんでした。部屋を暗くするために良いシャッターのある平均的な部屋。良いテレビ。自分で洗えないのは残念です。マスターカードまたはvisqカードでオンラインで予約することはできません。

The room was very nice, vibrant colors, bed was awesome, all very clean. But the big mistake they made with the renovation were the doors. They slam with a very big bang, so when anyone else on the floor enters the room, it all shakes. And then they are not isolated, you can understand discussions happening outside the room. And then, for the breakfast, dinner, lunch: only christmas music. But of the worst kind. There is no place in the region to escape this in the morning, so you have to deal with the christmas music. And for 17 euro's, it's not even worth actually what you get after your ears are in pain with ”jolly happy christmas” three times during breakfast.

I stayed on the 8th floor of this newly built,lovely modern hotel. My room overlooked the lake and parkland, and I was greeted by a sunrise each morning. The room has a comfy double bed that has a plug socket either side. There is a decent sized flat screen tv on the wall at the end of the bed. Tea and coffee are also supplied along with a small kettle. There was a single chair by the window, along with a table and a quirky giant tortoise stool. The bathroom offers a spacious walk in shower and a simple but modern sink and toilet. I wasn’t able to heat the room to my desired comfort level but I was happy with the ambient temperature with the air conditioning turned off. If you pay for breakfast, it offers a good selection, comprising of cakes and pastries, various breads, cooked meats, cheese slices, humous, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages and hard boiled eggs. Tea and coffee along with various fruit juices are on offer also. The reception has a small selection of food and drink for sale. These items include fancy crisps and biscuits and a fridge with both alcoholic beverages and refreshments. All the staff were friendly and made my stay a comfortable one. If you are attending the Ahoy arena for any event, this hotel is right on your doorstep!
