コプソーン ホテル アンド リゾート ベイ オブ アイランズ(Copthorne Hotel & Resort Bay of Islands)

We stayed in a king superior room and we were pleased with the cleanliness of the room and the view was more then beautiful, I’d definitely recommend staying here to anyone who asks about Copthorne bay of islands. We also ordered the lamb shank and pork belly on the dinner menu and we pleased with that and our room service.. Breakfast was to die for aswell. Would love to stay again.

Has an old world charm about it. Property reminds me of school camping trips. But, the room and facilities are higher standards, just not new. Quiet location next to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds (5min walking distance) is what I was looking for that no other property can provide. On site restaurant was reasonably priced and good quality so need not look elsewhere. Staff was attentive and prompt. Overall very happy with our choice.

I was expecting a better experience, the Copthorne has a five star reputation, I choose this to be able to enjoy the facility more. When I checked in, there was a smile, but no real explanation of the whole of the complex, rather, get back in your car, drive around to the left and find your room. No explanation as to the bar, restaurant or pool access, this was left for me to find out. The room and area we stayed at was quite tired, and below standard expected. The pool area was relaxing and enjoyed. We had no hot water, these things can happen, but I expected a better response, it took quite an effort to get access to another room so that I could have a hot shower. When we went to check out, there was only one person on reception. Another man was at a nearby table. We had a que of five, and the man in front of me went over to the man, got his attention, and ended in pushing himself up the que....this should not have happened. Over all, for the price I paid, I expected a higher quality experience.

A falling apart and horribly understaffed hotel that was once nice. The building was in disrepair, but the staff was doing all the could with what little they had.
